Default Food That's Almost Always Better The Day After

I'm eating some leftover Chicken Tikka Masala and it's even better than yesterday. YUM! (But ow, it burns.)

What are some of your favorite leftover foods?
It's wanting to know that makes us matter. Otherwise we're going out the way we came in. That's why you can't believe in the afterlife. Believe in the after, by all means, but not the life. Believe in God, the soul, the spirit, the infinite, believe in angels if you like, but not in the great celestial get-together for an exchange of views. If the answers are in the back of the book I can wait, but what a drag. Better to struggle on knowing that failure is final. - Hannah, Arcadia

I don't know about anybody else, but I think stew is much better the next day.

Lasagna is often times better the next day because the sauce has really soaked into the noodles. Mmmm, lasagna... ugh ugh ugh ugh *drools*

Not only is risotto better the day after, it's better if you microwave it the day after.

    How about thousand-year eggs? :)

(DISCLAIMER: I'm joking. I know that thousand-year eggs actually take only about 100 days to prepare.)

Thirded. My mother used to make an extra loaf just so we could have cold meatloaf sammiches the next day.

BTW, the BEST way to reheat day-old pizza is on a frying pan. It keeps the crust nice and crusty.

Anything from Pizza Hut microwaved on high for exactly 54 seconds. Trust me. It's in the Bible.

    Mmmm... meatloaf sammiches!

We use to have trifle every Christmas, that's my favorite leftover desert. Custard, lady fingers, strawberry stuff and real whip cream. It somehow gets better with age.

I used to love cold fried chicken. L O V E D I T!!! Then ten or so years ago I got food poisoned-ed from it and spent an evening alternating between curling up in a ball on my office floor and kneeling before the porcelain god.

I haven't trusted cold chicken since.

    Left-over spare-ribs are a favorite of mine....

Oh hell, who am I kidding? Ribs are my favorite at anytime!

Anyway ... I've found that they reheat well and maintain their flavor.
