    Default "Heroes"...starring Rose & Thorn?

NBC's new superhero show, "Heroes," debuted last night (Sept. 25). I thought it was pretty good, though I'm a little worried they're trying to throw too large a cast at us too quickly.

Anyway, Ali Larter's character reminded me a lot of Rose & Thorn. She has an alter-ego (her reflection?) that takes over in moments of danger and turns the mild-mannered single mom into a stone-cold killing machine. Pretty cool. Wild Rose all the way.

I hope this show finds a groove and an audience. I don't know if it has a closed writing staff, but I'd like to see Gail write some episodes.

Just saw it. I can see what you mean.

    spoilers:
Yeah, definately reminded me of Rose & Thorn. In particular how she takes out two thugs who are after her. Then again, seems she's a bit deadlier. Did I see right? Did she chop a guy in half?!
    end of spoilers

Also some other interesting tidbits I read on another forum.

I saw it at Comic-con. The heroin guy and the urban-legend spewing indian guy pissed me off, Hiro and the cheerleader were cool, the male nurse was like the biggest wimp in the world.

Best part: Someone in the audience asks the actor who plays Hiro if he speaks japanese. He goes into this three minute monologue in japanese, and ends it with "And that's how the first season ends."
For the people (like me) that saw both the pilot yesterday and the pilot that was downloadable a long time ago, spoilers:
anyone notice how they cut the whole fact that the druggie artist sawed off his hand? On the broadcast version, it looked more like he overdosed or something, but in the earlier pilot you could see his bloody hand on the floor
    end of spoilers.

I thought the exact same thing!

I love how they're handling the invulnerable girl, though -- that's very different from, say, Superman feeling no pain AND not being injured at all, and not quite the same as Wolverine's healing factor as it doesn't seem to really hurt her -- just annoy her.

I hope we get it over here in the UK soon, and Ali's character sounds very interesting indeed.

Awesome show, one of the 2 best new shows of the season. (The other being Jericho).

I really liked it. The male nurse is played by one of my favorite actors. And I must say Ali Larter's charector's powers are probibly the most interesting thing so far.

The Japanese guy (super Hiro) is pretty amusing, although I hope he'll become a bit less shrill in the future. I like the Cheerleader of Steel too, but they'd better drop the kid with the camcorder who follows her around like an annoying puppy dog.

The Flying Congressman and his brother will need a bit of work.
