no, i think that the book should remain a mini-series.
marvel has already tried this a couple of times (x-men: hidden years, professor xavier and the x-men).
and i'm counting 1, counting 2, counting 3...
I enjoyed the first issue of the series and wouldn't mind if it became a regular title simply that you can't have enough Original 5. However, I don't know if the stories would be able to maintain a high level of quality. If so then I think they should just leave it as a mini but schedule follow-ups in the future.
I voted yes- I see no reason why a series like this couldn't sustain itself. Hidden Years failed due to editorial interference, not fan reaction. And it, like First Class was a collection of new stories featuring the O5, unlike PXATX which retold old stories. So long as the writer and artist manage to present something new without stepping on the toes of what's gone on before, it could last as long as marvel wants it to.Originally Posted by streator

I voted 'No, let it end with the completion of the mini'. I enjoyed the first issue well enough but I still think it was pretty average. I enjoy most of all the other X-team books more (with the exception of New Excalibur and Ultimate X-Men) and I don't really want a 9th ongoing X-Men team book. A NINTH!
Plus I'm not a fan of either the Original 5 X-Men or the convept of books like this or The Hidden Years. For me, they're much more trouble than they're worth.
i didn't mean that it couldn't work, just that i wouldn't really want to see it around as another ongoing x-book.Originally Posted by Vegetarian Goat

Yes, make it so. The writer seems willing. Hopefully the sales are there.

No.
That is all.
Maybe, i would prefer waiting a little more to see how good the whole series will be and how strong will be the sales.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!

I voted 'No', as I'd rather have one mini series of 6-8 isssues per year. This would allow us to enjoy different writers and artists per arc, exploring different situations of the team.
One mini series per year wouldn't compete with the other dozen x-titles currently being published, ensuring its publication and quality.
What would be the point? It serves no real purpose. Ultimate X-Men and New X-Men both cover the X-men-in-training thing extensively. This would be just another ongoing x-book crowding the market.
