    Default Desperate Housewives Season 3

    A good season premiere.

Mike is in a coma after last season's finale, and Susan meets a grieving man in the hospital.

Bree and Orson become engaged, but Orson's previous wife's sister (Laurie Metcalf) shows up to the engagement party, accusing Orson of killing her.

Xiao-Mei goes missing temporarily, and Gabrielle and Carlos look for her. Gabrielle realizes her "American dream" is over.

Tom and Lynette deal with pain-in-the-butt Nora, but Tom finally shows a show of support for Lynette instead of just trying to please the mother of his previously unknown child.

And there's a new golf-pro shop being built on the block; and we see that construction has uncovered a body. But whose?

As I said, an okay season intro. With a few new mysteries. I do miss Alfre Woodard, though.

Given that Orson frequents the golf course where the body was found, I'd say we might have found out what happened to his ex-wife.

By the by, I think Laurie Metcalf was playing their old neighbor, not Orson's sister-in-law.

I'm still curious about what may be the deal between Orson and Mike. Orson must think Mike has something big on him to run him down like that.

You're probably right. Either way, it's still really weird that she's the second person to approach Bree about some secret about a fiancee.

I thought it was funny that Lynette says that Tom comes first with her. I refuse to believe that any mother puts her husband ahead of her kids. Not even Lynette. How can she ask that he put her ahead of his own daughter?

I remember C.S. Lewis saying that this is why the husband should be the head of the family ( not that this ever happens in real life ) because a husband is more just in dealing with the rest of the world. A mother's priority is her husband and her kids, and her objectivity is compromised in dealing with anyone else as they relate to her family. If your dog bites your neighbor's kid, who would you rather have to deal with, the mother or the father?

Lynette wasn't talking about the kids, she's obviously put Tom's daughter ahead of her, or him, but it's the girl's mother she was talking about. The woman has glommed onto them, like a vine on a tree, sucking the life out of them, and you know Lynette is going to be dealing with her soon! She thinks she can use her daughter as a weapon to get what she wants, but it doesn't work that way. She kept the paternity from Tom for years, and then established it via DNA. Tom has rights, and legal recourse, and this zany hooch is in for a rude awakening!

I was a little amazed that there was NO mention of Bree's son, Andrew. After what she did to him last year, I'm glad she's marrying a murderer!

It was interesting to see Dougray Scott again. I wonder if her regrets doing M:i:II, because it cost him the X-films?

Seeing Edie trying to unload Mary Alice's house was interesting, no doubt being sold to pay for her husband's legal defense, since his son's now in the grandfather's mansion, and has cut him off.

This season's going to be interesting also, in that Cherry isn't writing everything that Bree does, as he did last year, which will let him be more attentive to the rest of the show. I think that's why things got a bit off-track last year.

I think Lynette maybe threatened by Nora (mostly) and her kid. Besides, she feels that Tom is giving in Nora's requests and attention and that Lynette herself still loves Tom (but who knows what will happen next) by telling Nora that Tom will be with his wife. The kids are probably another factor.

Is it just me or every season deals with dead corpses or murder? Of course, it's a bit too much when the show introduces aliens and government conspiracies.

Bree abandoned Andrew because deep down in the latter's soul, that's what he wants. He's done everything to blow his mom off. In fact, he requested his grandparents to adopt him (but was revoked when they learn about the gay porn tapes). No matter how much damage he caused towards her, Bree wouldn't let him go until she saw Andrew already seduced her boyfriend/crush from the alcoholics anonymous meeting (before Orson). Bree realized that even though she loves him so much, he had caused enough damage towards her.

But Andrew will be back, if you haven't tuned in to the spoilers yet.

As for Orson, it would be too obvious for him to be the killer.

    Loved the Gabrielle-Xiao Mei spat.

My cousin was bitten by a neighbor's dog once. My uncle snuck into their backyard later that night and beat it to death with a baseball bet.

    That's pretty horrible!

I'm not sure what Orson said, other than it was French, and he referred to the corpse as "Monique."

Where the hell are Bree's kids in all this? OK, we finally get a glimpse of where Andrew's been in next week's tease (which I don't really buy, because he wasn't without options, he HAS a boyfriend!), but her daughter is entirely MIA in all of this, not to mention that Carol Burnett played her step-mom last year, where is she? There's no way that Bree would have a wedding without her family, aside from Aunt Fern (best line in the entire show was Carlos saying that he hates wearing tuxes, because people think he's the valet), who essentially insulted Carlos.

The show is still fun; but I don't like the way that plots/characters are just forgotten.

My guess is that Bree's daughter is off somewhere trying to recover from what happened at the end of Season 2. Its not an easy thing seeing ur boyfriend go psycho and then get shot by a police sniper.

As for why Andrew is out on the street and not shacked up with his boyfriend, I suspect the BF (what was his name?) was tired of being used by Andrew as just a tool to make Bree mad and when Andrew tried to go to him for help, he told Andrew to take a hike.

i'm wondering what will happen when Andrew is face to face with Orson. Orson doesnt seem like the type of guy who will take any crap from Andrew.

I'm not sure Andrew's boyfriend would turn him away, if asked, in that situation. He's essentially a good guy, which kind of leaves him open to being used by the ever machiavellian Andrew.

Orson isn't the type to take the crap from Andrew, that Bree has coming; but Andrew isn't the type to suffer the lies and crap that Orson's selling either. I think Orson may be the glue that finally binds Bree and Andrew back together, for good!

If they'd at least said something like Bree sent the daughter to the same re-education camp they sent Andrew to, or something, it would look like something's going on, as opposed to her having been completely forgotten.

Mark Deklin (recently seen on Fox's Justice as Dr. Shaw) has been cast on the show as a love interest for Gabrielle for at least 3 episodes. He starts November 26th.

Apparently there are spoilers on Wikipedia for this show (which have been true thus far), and I'm looking forward to spoilers:
    Justin's
end of spoilers return to the show. :D

Tonite's episode was fantastic. I got chills, I laughed, I cried, I was on the edge of my seat...this episode was damn good.

Not a bad episode. I'm just a little dissapointed they set up Julie with Edie's nephew. Thats such a boring cliche.

    I saw spoilers:
    Nora's death
end of spoilers a mile away as soon as they confronted Lynette in the store.

i wonder what the deal is with the new neighbor?
