Default "Batman and Robin" is now hilarious!

Sure every fan hates this movie but now i think this movie is hilarious seeing it again now that i bought the new special edition boxset of all 4 of the original Batman franchise. I also love it how Joel Schumacher with the team of that movie appoligizes for making that movie and how they made fun of it on the audio commentary, this definitely makes good home MST3K material.

Sorry, but the humor in B&R is horribly lame. The Adam West series was sophisticated comedy compared to that movie.

I just can't laugh at any of the jokes made there, although the MSTing of the script and even its MAD Magazine parody took a few laughs off me.

I think the funniest thing is watching Arnold play Mr. Freeze and thinking "That guy is actually Governor of our country's largest state now."

I used to work at a video store, and we would put "Batman and Robin" on the monitors a lot. Everything Arnold said would have us howling with laughter (and attempting bad imitations). So really, if you aren't someone who takes things waaaay too seriously (I.E. an awful lot of comics fanboys: "grrrrr, The Batman would never do that!" and if you call him "The Batman" it's already too late for you), then "Batman and Robin" is a blast to watch. It buries the needle on camp value. :D

Well, the Adam West series was actually funny. It set out to be campy and succeeded through its deadpan, straight-laced delivery. Batman & Robin, on the other hand, tried to ape that campy formula while forgetting the deadpan part.

I guess the thing that bugs me and many is that there was no reason to spend MILLIONS of dollars on a campy Batman movie. Nevermind it ruined the oppertunity for a good Batman movie to be made. We already had the campy 60s Batman. Why waste time rehashing that?

Nonsense, if anything the car crash of Batman and Robin made Batman Begins more of a possibility.

Change the words ''campy 60s Batman'' to a ''yet another thread on how crap Batman and Robin is'' and I couldn't agree more.

    Arnold's the govenor of Texas???!!

But yeah, this movie is hilarious because of how ridiculous it is. I just watched the De-Assified version edited by Greencapt and it still had various amounts of cheese. This movie had me shaking my lowered head, laughing to myself. :D

Fans of The Colbert Report may have seen the clip from Batman and Robin played in last night's episode. The jab was at George Clooney running for office, and how the country can only have ONE star of the film in office at any time. The clip was Ahnold saying, "Let's kick some ice." When the clip received laughter and applause, Colbert commented, "I think that's the only praise that movie has ever received."

Is he reading these boards or what?

I believe the 60's tv series took itself seriously when it started, but once they realised people thought it was goofy, they ran with it. Which is why the movie (60's movie) is just self parody.

I believe, but could be wrong.

and yeah, Batman and Robin sucks.

No we don't. Seriously, ice as a landmass? Even without ice, we'd crush texas. And we hate Batman and Robin, too
