Now, I like optimistic characters but Dean Stark takes it to the point where you just want Yuuki Terumi to come up to him and give him his "Truth called Despair" speech. It definitely doesn't help that he's a colossal moron who would have the likes of Naruto and Luffy smacking their heads into walls after listening to him for five minutes.

So Sora, kick his ass.

Oh, now this I gotta hear.

Basically, his only contribution to an indepth conversation of any kind is "Determination!" and "Never Give up!" . That's all he basically says throughout the game. Worse, it's almost always word-for-word. Everything else that comes out of his mouth is pure, undiluted idiocy borne of his blatant cluelessness about nearly EVERYTHING non-mech or Night Burn(his idol) related. Now he's a kind, empathetic character, which is one of his few saving graces, but it's overshadowed quickly by how annoying he can be. Which is a shame because at the beginning of the game, he seemed to be quite likable and relatively intelligent. It was only after he started his journey did his IQ take a considerable nosedive; he's a uncommon case of RPG character devolvement.
