Default Marvel: 7 Omnibus Releases Planned for 2007!!

According to "Dgabriel" an employee of Marvel's (Trades division, IIRC) over at the Marvel Masterworks message board, there will be a total of 7 'Omniboo' books released next year from Marvel. It seems that the massive Encyclopedia sized collections must be doing pretty well for Marvel. Here's hoping that Uncanny X-Men Vol. 2 is one of those planned releases. But of the 7 releases, what would you guys like to see collected in 2007?

    1. Daredevil By Frank Miller Omnibus Volume 1 HC - Confirmed
    2. Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus Volume 1 HC - Confirmed
    3. Fantastic Four Omnibus Volume 2 HC - Confirmed
    4. Silver Surfer Omnibus HC - Confirmed
    5. Amazing Fantasy Omnibus Volume 1 HC - Confirmed
    6. Devil Dinosaur Omnibus HC - Confirmed
    7. Captain America By Ed Brubaker Omnibus Volume 1 HC - Confirmed

That's what I'm pretty sure we'll see at least. I'll reveal my other 4 choices shortly. :D

What I'd like to see is Uncanny vol. 2, FF Vol. 2, Spidey vol. 1, Thor vol. 1 and Avengers vol. 1. Other than that, maybe Simonson's Thor, Michelinie's Iron Man or Byrne's FF.

now that I know the x-men and fantastic 4 Ominbus are going into new volumes I'm going to start picking these up.:)

My vote for future ominbus are

Frank Millar Daredevil. I can see this happening.
Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko monster comics. A guy can dream.

OO Dear Lord, how much do they cost? And are they all in color? Also these are all older ones that just give you the best story of that run, right? Also are all the ones listed about are the ones that are out right now?

Daredevil Omnibus vol.1 (collects Frank Miller's entire run). I'm sure they're going to have an Avengers Omnibus sometime down the line.

All of the books listed are out except for teh New X-Men one, which is on it's way. The books reprint each of the issues in their entirety, including pin-ups and letters pages. They also include intros. They're full colour.

Also, the issues listed are all of the issues that are reprinted, not just a best of. These books are huge.

They are pricey, but worth every penny with a good discount online + free shipping:D

    The Eternals is

"The Gods Are Coming Back!" Jack Kirby reveals a secret history of heroes and horrors as humanity's cousins, the Eternals and the Deviants, vie to inherit the Earth! It's a time of Titans, Terror and Time Travel - as only the King could conceive! Guest-starring the Incredible Hulk (or at least an unreasoning facsimile thereof)! Collects Eternals #1-19 & Annual #1 This is sold on a non-returnable basis

Not really. The FF and Uncanny X-Men ones contain 3 Masteworks each. And those MSRP for around $50.00. The New X-Men one is the same as the 3 HC's which are $30.00 a piece, and the last two are out of print. And if you shop around you can get the $100 ones for around $60+.

Masterworks are hardcover books that reprint old Marvel comics. They usually contain about 10 issues per book.

There's a new Eternals series by Neil Gaiman and John Romita Jr., using Kirby's creations.
