Are the Summers/Grey the most powerful family in comics?

LEt's see we have super psi Rachael, Nate Grey, Styrfe, Cable, Jean and and Maddie.

Now we have JEan and Rachael with access to the Phoenix force.

We have mad tyrant Hyperstorm.

Havok's son lil charlie. He was powerful.

the amount of power that is outputted by each of these characters is enormous.

Who else could possibly be runner-up? Well, Magneto's family, I suppose...since Scarlet Witch did alter reality. And Magneto himself is very powerful. These two alone are possibly enough to be considered even close enough to the Grey/Summers family. I'm not forgetting Quicksilver, but he's not too powerful beside his father and sister. And then there's Polaris too, whether or not she is Magneto's daughter. The Guthries don't even come close.

I suppose they do dwarf Susan Storm, Johnny, Reed Richards, and baby Franklin.

That's the thing about Mutants, being genetic, there's a whole family of them, as opposed to mutates who are on their own, essentially.

There are more powerful individuals within the MU but not many "familial groups" who have that kind of firepower.

For all their power though, they never seem to battle people like Thanos, Galactus, Terrax, and the other heavy-hitters. Only the Beyonder, the Imperial Guard, etc.

Thanos, Starfox, Mentor, etc. would have to be at least close.

What about Thor, Odin, Gaea, etc? Or Zeus, Hercules, Ares, etc.? Although I guess neither would count as true families.

The Summers family if one counts the alternate reality/alternate future/other universe members and those connected by romantic relationships to the Summers family like the first poster did.

If we are talking direct lineage aka Corsair and his sons vs Magneto and his offspring then you have a real battle.

Its really more the Grey's who are powerful than the Summers. Just saying.

It wouldn't be that bad a battle if we were talking about pre-Bendis Scarlet Witch. But, post Bendis Wanda is basically at Living Tribunal level power.

You would also have to place Magneto and Polaris at pre-House of M levels. Because, it is very unclear what their power levels and abilities actually are today. The writers can say that they are more dangerous or more powerful then ever with the machines that are powering them. But, using machines they haven't yet demonstrated the level of power or ability that they had pre-HoM.

Actually you're right.

While Cyclops and Havok are pretty impressive, Cable and Rachel have 'Grey" blood in them. Hyperstorm has a combo of Rachel and Franklin.

Vulcan is uber powerful from the M-Day wave augmenting his powers.

Was Tyler (Genesis) Cable's actual son? I thought Tyler was Jenskot's kid that Cable adopted and was "father" to.

Havok's kid was a mixture of Summers and Grey.

How powerful was Captain Britain when he filled in for Roma? If he had a measure of control over the entire multiverse, that would qualify as pretty damn powerful, albeit only temporarily. Throw in reality manipulator Jamie and that family had a decent level of juice, for a while anyway.
