But hey, that show still had a great enough run, during its first nine season, and whoever's a fan of Drake, the first seven.
Yeah, I gotta say the newer seasons of Degrassi are kinda lame. I have a few favorites--Fiona, Katie, Adam, Allie, Drew--but most of the new kids are pretty lackluster. The even newer kids coming in this season seem stereotypically bland; the gay guy, the nerdy girl, etc. I miss the old gang, especially Manny! She got REAL hot, as seen in two of the recent Degrassi movies.
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

I like how TeenNick has to rely in 90s nostalgia to remain relevant. Not complaining though. Love me some 90s nostalgia.

    Question

Another problem with the channel is that many of the shows that have not aired elsewhere in the U.S. before were foreign shows: The Canadian Degrassi, The Australian Dance Academy, the third season of the Australian H2O (the first two seasons aired on regular Nickelodeon here).

The newest 'original' show joining the TeenNick channel is another Australian series: Alien Surf Girls, from the producers of H2O, will debut on TeenNick on May 29!

    What do you think?

All the characters started off as stereotypes until they got developed with storylines. That's always been the formula.

They seriously need to diversify that line-up. Enough All That/Kenan and Kell/Rugrats! I want me some Alec Mac and Are you afraid of the dark!

That's not good news. That show blows.

Alien Surf Girls premiered in America first according to Wikipedia. In Oz it's called Lightning Point. I love that show! KiKi is so pretty!

Yeah, well they haven't been developing all that much, just a different shade of bland.

Heard about the new Figure it Out before my cable got shut off. Its a little sad that Teen Nick is having to dive back into the 90s just to do well anymore. But such is the way... The new shows like Supah Ninjas, and Fred may be funny to the younger younger crowd, but it just makes some of the older ones weep with regret at what a once great TV station has become.

I used to be all on the Degrassi bandwagon years ago, but with the departures of the show's original cast, the basic feeling behind it went with it. Its just too hard to connect to the characters who either end up bland, or over the top stereotypes.

As for "The 90s are All That", and other related programming. I'm all for it. At least it keeps people from trying to look them up relatively illegally online.

As they really aren't showing that many shows (it's been mostly Kenan and Kel and All That for months), you still have to seek out the majority of the shows online anyways. For one day, on December 31, 2011/January 1, 2012, they showed a lot of the shows missing from the lineup, but now it's back to the same three or four shows over and over. No Alex Mack, no AYFOTD, no Clarissa Explains it All. Hell, I would watch Pete & Pete and Salute Your Shorts at this point just to see something different, and I didn't even really like them.

At least 'All That' and "Kenan and Kel' are coming to Nick At Nite, if only to provide a better lead-in to Nick At Nite's new original series 'Hollywood Heights', whose prior lead-in was 'Friends' reruns!
