[April 24th, 2012] You know what's awkward? Not catching until the end of April that you've been touting releases as happening in 2011 for four months now. But we're on track now, so eh, what the heck? I was once told by someone to give them Liberty Legion or give them death. That wasn't a Patrick Henry misquote, either. All this, and the story will be continued in next week's issue of Araña! Check it all out here, by Justin Santos!
[April 26th, 2012] If I had anything to say about Wesley Overhults' writing, it would be consistency. Wesley delivers consistently well-written prose on a consistent with a consistent level of surprise and character development. When his series debuted in December 2009, it should have been monthly--not because of anything on his part, but because he kept getting those issues in consistently month after month, but I dropped the ball as an editor editing them. If you haven't started reading this book, do. Here's a one-shot featuring the Exiles' competing squad of time-tossed heroes--the X-Men--and it's a prime example of everything the guy brings to the table! And, as always, when you're done let him know you thoughts at the MO forum!
Exiles #21 - The Low Road Home: Down in Morlock Alley, the alternate reality-saving X-Men have arrived in time to try to stop the Mutant Massacre! Will the might of six be enough to stop the same slaughter that occurred when full teams of X-Men were not enough in our own reality? Plus, at least one of our heroes won't make it out of this fight alive! It all dovetails into the climax of the series' second year, by Wesley Overhults!
[April 27th, 2012] Tobias Christopher is a machine. The man says he's ahead on every series he's writing through the end of 2012. I'll be lucky if there's at least one issue of everything I write out in 2012...eep. There's a brand-new interview up on the Spotlight Page, and when you're done with this brand-spankin'-new issue of PUNISHER, shoot him a line on the forum!
Punisher #20 - Saints & Sinners Prologue: Howard Saint is no friend of the Punisher, and after having a hand in delaying him over the last few issues, he's done the unthinkable with something going all the way back to the first arc in this series! Will Frank and Anya be able to put aside their differences and save the life hanging in the balance? Find out in the prologue to a huge new arc, by Tobias Christopher!
[April 28th, 2012] CHAMPIONS is a series with an interesting history. It started out as a book featuring a bunch of different heroes that had new introductions at Marvel Omega, but writer Scott Redmond stripped it bare and tried again with a bunch of the old New Warriors, graduating them to the big leagues. When that era ended, who better than Dino Pollard to take on a new, quirky bunch of heroes assembled just as the old Champions in fun fashion? With the team fully assembled, check out this new arc, and hit the forum afterward with your thoughts on the book!
Champions #12 - Cold-Hearted Freeks Part 1: The new team of Champions gets some much-needed PR after Warren Worthington's X-Corporation scandal while Dan Ketch and Hercules sit down for a drink. But what kind of villain will the team run into next--especially when another hit to their image comes from a very unlikely source! A new arc starts here in the first part of "Cold-Hearted Freeks," by Dino Pollard!
[April 29th, 2012] Curt Ferlund's take on the Thing has fascinated us for years, and this issue is no different. Ben Grimm is a man on a mission, and this is the book to read if you love a good, action-filled story with all of the character work you've come to love from Curt! And when you're done, go to the MO forum to tell Curt what you thought!
The Thing #9 - Snow Day: The Thing and his crew are spread thin--almost too thin to determine just what happened to Misty Knight, Eric Arcane, and Midnight! Their own resources won't be enough, though. They're going to need to bring in some help, but will they get what they need when there's history involved between them and Colleen Wing? Guest-stars and surprise villains abound here, by Curt Fernlund!
[April 30th, 2012] Alexander Ritter is a relatively new addition to the Marvel Omega stable, but we're glad to have him! After making waves on WEREWOLF BY NIGHT, Alexander launched WHITE RABBIT and even has an upcoming stint on WEST COAST AVENGERS! Today we head back down the rabbit hole, but when you're done reading that, hit the forum to join in on the discussion!
White Rabbit #3 - “The rule is, jam tomorrow and jam yesterday - but never jam today!”: The White Rabbit's quest for supervillain-dom continues here as she drags Charles Liddell along on here latest hare-brained scheme! But with Frog-Man and the Crimson Cat involved, will anything go quite as planned? The puns and punishment keep hopping along, so come see just what Alexander Ritter pulls out of his hat next!
Tomorrow marks the start of HULK MONTH! The Jade Giant turns 50 in May, and we want to be there to mark the occasion with Hulk-themed issues all month long!
[May 1st, 2012] There's something about the Hulk that has always fascinated me. The idea that the Hulk has always been Banner, but a side of him that was controlled before the explosion, well, that's always gotten the wheels spinning. There's a Hulk in all of us, if that's the case, and it's one of the reasons the Hulk has had such staying power over the last fifty years. Kicking off our celebration of the Hulk's 50th birthday is a one-off comedy tale from Tobias Christopher! After you read, head on over to the forum to get an idea of what's coming up next!
Amazing Fantasy #51 - The Real Hulkbusters: Steven Harmon's parents have given him an ultimatum--get a job or get out! So what's a former teen hero to do but become a super-hero bounty hunter? And the first mark on his list? The Hulk! Is there any possible way this can end well? Find out how rough it goes here, brought to you by Tobias Christopher!
