I saw the sketches on your blog (but I was throwing up all over the place so don't blame me for not commenting lolol) but this final work is SPECTACULAR. I can't believe you didn't enter...looks like you could have made the time if you really tried! The Dazzler font is so slick, so awesome and chic. I love it.

I also love your typed signature, it's totally the Dolce and Gabbana interlocked DG thing (on the glasses and belts?).

I really think you captured the challenge's elements perfectly. Your anatomy is SLICK as hell (the hands!!<3) and the heavily fashion influenced design sense is just superb. I don't like the hair too much, but that's personal. Otherwise it's just amazing.

Another great entry! I'm totally in love with above-the-elbow sleeves now!

Switch out the messenger bag for an electric guitar. Give her a little leather jacket.

Here's my Play Along entry:



So I completely revamped the drawing and concept from my previous designs. I like the simplicity of the outfit in a drawing, although I'm not sure about it standing the test of time in a comic book as a character. In any case, she'd look very up-to-the-minute in 2007!

• Silver tights (high waisted - it's the way to go now!) and above-elbow length gloves (Fashion's accessory of choice nowadays, although old hat for super-heroines), paying homage to her old disco outfit
  
• Au courant clear lucite platform wedges built into the tights (very Balenciaga) with a hole cut through the sole for interest.
  
• A simple tee in clingy holographic latex or lurex (I can't decide, but I havce it on good authority that techno fabrics will be all the rage next spring), in a super-trendy Yves Klein blue, printed with her starburst logo, recalling her blue outfit. I like the idea of nonchalant fashion statements combined with more avant garde elements.
  
• I also teased her hair up in the center and brushed it back, for a retro 60s Catherine Deneuve vibe, done 00s style in a short, soft bob.

Tres trendy and casual chic!

Sure - she used to in heels! With rollerskates! And platforms are definitely easier to wear. Trust me, I know. ;) :D
