Excalibur: Chimére?

Considered putting this in the 'ask your questions' thread but figured it might be an interesting enough topic for it's own thread.

Having just re-read Excalibur (genosha) #1-14, I noticed that Hub, Purge and Hack all seem to be working for a woman called Chimére.

Unfortunately, HoM caused Excalibur to be cancelled so we never found out who she was.

Does anyone know who she was?

What were Hack, Purge and Hun doing for her?

Anyone heard anyfrom CC about this? Or any of his other intentions for this series?

Hmm, I did respond, but it got lost or something. So here I go again.

I know there was a Chimere once who appeared in Wolverine, I think somewhere in the early 90's. She worked with that rat-look a like mutant Dirt-Nap. She had control over two ghosts and was wearing a leather bodysuit with a black eyemask, she was a blondine.

I do not recall what she wanted exactly, but she was not so kind. It was the same time-period Zoe Culloden made her first appearances as a kind of mistery woman. I think she and Chimere also met. (what ever happened to Zoe, I do not know either)

After a while Cheimere was just kind of gone into limbo and never heard of again.

Was this the same character that popped up in Xtreme and never seen again? She had long red hair, looked really evil and was walking around in Africa I think?

Supposedly, it was meant to be Mr. Sinister. Playing Puppetmaster from his underground lab. Though the possibility also exists that it could have been Dark Beast himself, doing much the same thing.

Yeah, I remember a character called "Chimera" who popped up in Generation X in the 90s who had dimension-hoppin abilities. And yes, she worked with a talking rat called Dirt Nap. Oh the 90s.

Perhaps Chimera has changed her name to Chimere, who knows?

I wish this could've been resolved. I really want to know more about Freakshow and Wicked before M-Day, who this Chimére person is, and what the hell happened to the Leper Queen! A one-shot called "Loose Ends" would be fun. :D

Exactly. And I definitely want to know what happened with Pulse? Is he still at the mansion? Is he still after Rogue? Ugggg, oh how I hate plot danglers!
