Default Favourite 00's issue (so far)?

So most people, when asked what their favourite X-issue is, would probably say something by CC (which is fair enough) or something from the 70's or 80's.

I want to see some love for the 'noughties'.

Pick ONE issue (unless you change your mind. Like I probably will) from the entire X-line, from between 2000 and now and tell us why it floated your boat.

I wanna hear yours too Fishy!!!

One that immediately springs to mind for me is X-treme X-men #24.

It was a great stand-alone Claremont issue, featuring Cannonball helping with the aftermath of X-Men #130.

It was just a simple story of never giving up, even when the outcome looks hopeless.

Nothing earth shattering. Just a great read and great art (it was larocca's last issue and IMO the last time he really shone).

The New X-Men issue where Quentin Quire steps up his game, takes on the X-Men and is then stopped by a quintet of blonde beauty's, one of them ending up dead.
Fantastic lead in into the Jean Vs Emma arc.

Best thing I've read all century.

What killed the last thread was you should have posted " what was your favorite 80's X-Men covers " lol. Because you just knew that some wouldn't post anything from the 1990's. :p

I'm gonna wait awhile and see more covers til I make my decision.

This isn't a covers thread dude, they're just for reference.

    This is about actual ISSUES.

Its a toss up for me. Its eithor Chuck Austen's " Juggernaunt Issue " where he goes home and destroys the family home finally over coming the abuse he suffered from his step dad or.. the end of #146 where Magneto is revealed as the traitor.

I'll go with single issue and pick the Juggernaunt issue.

E is for Extinction is one of the best X-Stories ever.

Riot at Xaviers comes in a close second.

That is the rough list I am on the fence if Exiles counts as an X-title.

Ok, so after Pete yelled at me, I now pick as my favorite issue the last part of Riot at Xaviers. Incredible writing and amazing art. I love the panel wher the Cuckoos confront Quentin and we can see all of Quentin's...er...layers.

Oh, oh, and Astonishing X-Men 15!!! I loved it!

Thats the rough list I have to both decide and post my selection as the best ever because there have been a lot of very good X-comics in the 2000's.

As for issues, I can't really think that far back or make a single choice. Probably something from Riot at Xavier's, the Claremont issue where Rachel and Emma have a fight on the astral plane, or if the satellite titles count one of the issues from New X-Men's Too Much Information arc or X-Factor's first issue.

Fair enough dude. I just didn't want the thread to descend into a mess of meaningless LISTS, like they so often do.
