Fear not, tomorrow a trio of CBR posters will be blackmailing Kieron and Jamie in person, demanding Pixie.

Hah! Total coincidence. I just read it this very same day.
You're not inside my head, are you?
You've got me all suspicious now.
Only as you mistakenly believe black to be the only qualifier for racial diversity.
They've got a latina and (and here's the kicker, because many people won't except it for racial diversity) two aliens and a norse god.
I think putting too much stock in the colour of skin of aliens and foreign deities is rather ridiculous myself. If aliens came to Earth tomorrow and they happened to be white, would you consider them as part of the caucasian population? I certainly wouldn't.
And here I got roped back into this discussion, so I'm just going to shut up about this now.
Oh please don't give me that bs that aliens and fictional gods count for Diversity. Miss America she counts yes. Kid Loki is white. Noh Varr is White. Teddy is white. Just like Superman is white. Where have I ever said only blacks count for racial diversity? I just see a massive decline after Avengers Academy on the racial diversity front. Well also gender.
Black History Month & 29 Days in February
People probably think that because you weren't trying to pretend that this team wasn't racially diverse when we were still stuck with boring old Eli Bradley. But now that it has a Latina, this is a thing you are trying to argue.
Black dudes are not the only way to racial diversity. Having Miss America on the team is just as diverse as having Patriot. The YA isn't any less racially diverse than it was when boring old cry baby Eli was on the team. It also has EXACTLY THE SAME amount of POC as New Avengers has.
Except in this book, women and lgbt also exist. Imagine that!
You want to protest, go protest New Avengers for ignoring half of the population. You have no right to complain about the diversity of this book in any way, shape or form. You want to stay hung up on black dudes being the epitome of diversity, go read a book with Black Panther in it, including the one with all straight dudes.
Not again.
This has been gone over again and again. There are dedicated threads elsewhere on the site regards diversity in comics and at Marvel. Please take the discussion there, or to PM; this is an appreciation thread.

I demand Butterball!
He's got a really fascinating and tragic power. He will never change.
He really was. I found him, his self-made childish costume and his whole "being a super hero fulfils my childish fantasies!" schtick to be tiresome and cringe worthy.
I understand how he represents the quite literal fantasy of the overweight, socially awkward, bullied teen but it just failed on every level for me.
