Default What KIND of scientist is Batman?

    http://scienceblogs.com/worldsfair/2...a_legitima.php

    Marge: Homer?
    Homer: Yelloh?
Marge: There's a man here who thinks he can help you.
    Homer: Batman?
    Marge: No, he's a scientist.
    Homer: Batman's a scientist.

    ...
My question to the audience: what kind of scientist is Batman?

    Best response so far:

[Batman is] a very skilled practical engineer who can build just about anything. Assuming it has a bat on it somewhere.

Pol was right. In comics, "scientist" means you can do anything. I mean, how unlikely is it that Hank Pym is a biochemist AND a robotosist...ist? :D

That's probably the best answer. In the real world, it would be impossible for any human being to master all disciplines. To me, he's a chemist, a forensic scientist, and apparently a surgeon. It's fitting, considering his Pa was a doc before he bit the bullet, literally. In the Justice League movie Starcrossed, we see him performing a postmortem examination on an alien. Apparently, he knows a lot about alien physique as well. As for me, I would have loved to have attended med school with Bruce.

    lol! :D

He's got to be a mad-scientist though right? I mean all his tech and techniques are way beyond normal human tech, so, in that vein, isn't he always doing stuff that is really 'untested' yet, for normal people?
