Hmmm... lessseeee here..
Ted Kord... DEAD and replaced with a kid with a friggin goatee and whose costume makes him look like a Power Rangers villian. BTW.. what is with DC thinking that all you have to do to "revamp" a character is to change the ethnicity of said character? Son of Vulcan was a very cool NEW hero with an ethnic background that will probably never be seen again so DC can shove this tripe down the consumers' gullet.
I really hope Ted returns.. it was stupid to throw away a CLASSIC STEVE DITKO DESIGN and CONCEPT because some editor had a brain spasm.

Tony Stark is yet again the waste of oxygen in the Marvel U. I mean how many times can it be his fault? Its like he's the Jar Jar of Marvel.
Kyle Rayner is in yet another tale where we are informed that he is "the bestest Gween Wantern ever."
JLU gets the boot (damn Cartoon Network.)

All Star Batman proves that Frank Miller has gone off the deep end (Will an editor please grow some testicular fortitude and talk to this guy or dare I say it.. edit his work?)
IC really wasn't very good. I love John's work but I think this needed to be done by ONE writer and ONE artist. The end result was a sloppy anti climactic mess with serious pacing and build issues. Nowhere near as good as COIE.
They did exactly what I said they would do... paraded out the original Supes just to put a bullet in his head.

Thats what jumps out at me first.
I'm really happy about the recent Superman books, Batman books, Wonder Woman and of course Birds escaping relatively unharmed by IC.

DK2. I should have realised at that point Miller had lost it already. Then All Star Batman came along...... just goes to show he really is taking a huge enormous dump on the comic books fans, laughing all the while, whilst wiping his arse with 100 dollar bills and collecting a big fat cheque at the end of the day too.

Gwen Stacy and Osborne. I love JMS. I think he is one of the most talented writers around, builds long term stories, plants seeds, see B5 as prime example of this, but, this story was a real huge mistake.

52 - they made booster gold into a huge twat, despite the death of Ted Kord and his promises, despite him going toe to toe briefly with Doomsday and all that, despite him being a hero in other stories. Sorry, but I dropped this at issue 3. Its the Lost of the comic book world, I can't afford to wait until issue 51 to get concrete answers.

Martian Manhunter - it's not out yet, but I'm very worried about the new series, with his new look, not the costume, no problems with changing that, but the physical changes, its got me very very worried.

Hal Jordan as the Spectre. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Attempt to crowbar a good character into a mould that didn't fit. Cast off the Wrath???? The Spectre IS the Wrath.

Some parts of the Ultimate Line - chance to do so much more, it was never exactly a do-over, but a chance to explore areas not possible before, new concepts applied to the modern world or current time period of 2006, like the Ultimates, an example of how to do it right. Has not been used to its full potential, so SO much could be done. Not saying make Wolverine a woman, but please, will someone grow some balls and TRY something different, it's not even the 'real' Marvel Universe, so you could just ignore it if you didn't like it.

House of M - huge build up, good idea, total let down.

Infinite Crisis - same.

Supergirl - what a total and utter waste. Super-Britney!!!!!

Jason Todd - they left Barry Allen alone, leave him alone. Let this one character stay Dead! DEAD! DEAD!!!!

Batgirl - character assassination and continuity murder complete. Thank you so much DC, for taking a solid, intriguing, character with decent sales and flushing her down the toilet in favour of pandering to...well, I guess we're waiting to see to whom they're pandering.

Will a new Batgirl come out? Or was this simple a way to make certain there aren't too many women in the Batcave, as it were, when Batwoman comes out?

Whatever the reasons, inexcusable.

Batman taking Ollie off of earth in the middle of the crisis "Just to see if he would come."

The slaughter of the Freedom Fighters just to rebuild them in a darker form.

The current approach taken by Outsiders. Yes, there was an attempt to soften it in the most recent issue, but I think this is indicative of the fact that Dick wasn't supposed to make it through the Crisis, and Jason was going to be the new Nightwing. (Dealt with in more detail in my blog.)

That we still have a series called Outsiders that doesn't include Geo-Force.

That the Spectre has a goatee.

That the Thing series is a limited.

I'm sure there will be more. I have a lot of repressed anger.

I'm afraid I had an over-the-top fanboy moment when I read the War Crimes story that had Leslie letting Stephanie die to prove a point. That one still makes me angry.

And, even though I'm not a huge Spidey fan, the whole Norman Osborne getting busy with Gwen Stacey thing irritated me as well.
