That would be a good poll question. Which season had the funniest lines? I'd vote for season VII. Despite VII sucking in most other ways it had Andrew who delivered some hilarious lines.Originally Posted by Typo Lad
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

Keep us updated on how your likeing it.... some of the best episodes are to come in season 1.
(Dont worry no spoils just episode names.)
particularly interesting are
Angel
Nightmares
Out of Mind, Out of Sight
Those are my favs from season 1... when your on season 2 ill assault you with unecessary lists of my favorite moments from season 1.
and another list of worth while episodes....
sorry i get excitied when i have a new buffy fan around.
Season 1 started in mid season so it has fewer episodes , when they renewed the show , they have bigger budget and subsequently it looked better.
I only really got into Buffy when it was about half way through season 2 , in season 1 , i wasn't really that hooked on it because "the master" simply doesn't come across as that menacing.
Season 2 however was different , there was an underlying menace throughout after we know who changed and, we also got a couple of deaths.
I'm watching a friend's DVDs. Don't know what set it is.

The scripting in Buffy was outstanding for the first few seasons, then as the show wore on it got a little less funny and a lot more dark.
Still enjoyable mind you, just different.
Just wait till Spike turns up Morts.
The Hod: Novelist, raconteur and celebrated sexual athlete.
Funny story - the reason I avoided Buffy all these years was because it was my little brother's "thing". It was the first genre show that he got into on his own and I know this sounds stupid, but I wanted it to be "his".
However, I've liked Astonishing X-Men so much and Michael Pullman and Gilda Dent both like the show, so I figured I'd try it out.

The odd thing about that episode is that I spend half the time confused. I just don't find the teacher THAT hot...
She looks too much like the mom from the ep before.

Then you are really gonna hate it when in season 8 the world is destroyed by flying Monkeys.Originally Posted by Typo Lad

Nah, just kidding.

Am I wrong in thinking that Xander is a Mary Sue for Whedon or one of the writers? He reeks of it.
