Huh? No "Official"? No "Thread"? Yet here it is! Okay, I made a stink about the last one, I guess it's time to put up or shut up.
So what do people expect for Season 3? Where do they want it to go? Where don't they want it to go? So many questions...
Are Eko and Locke alive? I hope so. Odds are they are, they're too interesting to die.
Why do the Others want Jack, Kate, and Sawyer? Jack's a doctor, his possible value is apparent. What about the other two? If the Others are to be taken at their word (and this is the first time they seem to be completely honest), the trio aren't in any mortal danger. Turn them over to their side? Warm bodies that'll be useful? If the Others are "the good guys", doesn't their selection of Sawyer seem a tad off? Or even Kate? Yeah, we like them, but can we safely call them "good" people? Or "good people that made mistakes"?
Who is faux-Henry? He's clearly in charge of the Others, so who does that make him? Was getting trapped with the Lostaways a part of his plan? Could he be a Hanso? What if he were Alvar Hanso himself? Or Magnus Hanso (dead, according to the door map, but still...)?
Is there any compelling evidence that the Others are working for the Dharma Initiative or the Hanso Foundation, and not against them? The Others seem to be more in the know than the Lostaways, but I don't think there's any concrete evidence to support that they're a part of or responsible for the island's mysteries. Those fake doors really got me wondering.
Is Michael really free? Why'd they give up Walt? I bet everyone and their 4th cousins were expecting this deal to go sour, yet it didn't. Michael got everything he asked for, even his own son, who seemed extremely important to the Others (important enough to steal, even faux-Henry grudgingly admitted that they "got more than they bargained for"). Did they get what they needed out of Walt, and are they actually content to let him go?
What the hell was the deal with that cold climate installation and Desmond's ex? My first thought was that the island wasn't the only Dharma base/bunker series in the world, but that seems unlikely (didn't see any Dharma markings). Why is Penelope looking for a large electromagnetic surge? The people at the cold station let it slip that they'd missed one in the past, was this the original "accident" the orientation films mention? Or Desmond's accident that crashed Oceanic Flight 815?
Holy crap, what was that broken four-toed foot statue doing there? Ya got me, i'm stumped.
Are those notebooks in the message tubes yet another useless task? Sure, it doesn't look doesn't look like they've been picked up in a while, but was Desmond right? Are the observers/recorders of the Dharma stations the test subjects, not them? Are they all test subjects?
Anyway, that's enough to get the ball rolling and i'm sure other people have loads of questions too. I'm gonna enjoy my summer, but I can't wait for fall.
