Fantastic Four Death in the Family (spoilers)

For those interested in the FF story that Joey Q so publicly made know would be the Death of the Invisible Woman here are some spoilers for you...

Basically Sue Richards does die. Dead, dead, dead, by some creature from another dimension that comes out of a portal from a piece of equipment that falls out of a closet in Reed’s lab. Johnny being the one that opened the closed and with his sister being dead feels bad and goes back in time by an hour using the time platform. Knocks “himself” out and takes that time place and stops himself from opening up the closet so as to avoid the creature from coming to this dimension. Ben actually opens the door this time and Johnny melts the equipment. The Johnny from that time wakes up and confronts him. Our Johnny says he came back in time to fix something that he did. The time platform returns for Johnny who goes back to his own time. Reed them tells everybody that you can’t change the past so his mistake still happened in his time and the Fantastic Four are all seen standing together. So Sue died and was saved. The solicitation read “The Invisible Woman is dead! AS Reed cradles his murdered wife lost in grief…” Murdered? Not even she was shot with an energy beam from some squid looking creature, she wasn’t murdered. At the very least she could have gotten hit from a blast from Blastar if something from another dimension was going to shoot her. The whole story felt like some crap ass episode from one of the early FF cartoons. This was a bad, BAD book where your money can be spent on something better at you local store. Don’t deny your store a sale just spend your $3.99 on something much better like Daredevil.

When I read the spoiler there ^ that's all i was thinking...like some bad idea for one of the cartoon episodes that gets tossed around in the preliminary board room discussions, but no one really takes serious & kinda leaves it on the back burner as an emergency storyline. sounds like a tasteless issue

I ordered this issue I hope it at least reads better then it sounds. Kind of lame saying this is an in continuity book since it sounds like it isn't. Just wonder whose bright idea this was that felt the story had to be told.

Yeah right a nice pointless retcon in the same book its introduced in. At least theyre learning to clear up these messes quicker.

So we are now in a divergent universe, no longer in 616. That is the rules that Marvel set up in the past. She died in the 616 universe, and when Johnny stopped her from being killed, it creates a divergence in the timestream, creating an all-new reality.
