Bones -- Season Two

Now that the finale has aired we can start talking about the second season.

How about the end of the first season for really setting up what is probably going to be a running subplot for season 2?

The show started off okay, but really grew into it's own over the course of the first season.

I'm really looking forward to the continuing growth of the show and the partnership between Temperance and Booth.

Jonathan Adams who was the boss during season 1 will still appear on the show, but he's out as a regular. He'll appear as a guest star only.

The new boss for Bones is Tamara Taylor (Walt's mom on Lost). She'll play coroner/pathologist Dr. Camille Saroyan.

Jessica Capshaw will appear as the mother of Boone's son starting with the second episode of the new season. She'll appear in at least 3 or 4 episodes.

Ryan O'Neal will play the estranged father of Booth on an upcoming episode of the show. The episode in question will be directed by David Duchovny (The X-Files.)

The return of Bones after the World Series drew 7.42 million viewers, finishing second in the Wednesday 8pm timeslot.

Last night's episode drew 8.87 million viewers, the best numbers since the September 6th show.

I'm not sure how far ahead you crazy people are, but while I loved the first series, and I'm not that sold on the second yet... one of my problems is that the addition of a coroner to the cast kinda takes away from the unique appeal of the show.

The episode just shown here today had what seemed to be a pretty pointless addition of someone being murdered halfway through, basically so that she had something to do other than just be the boss. And I don't like that, because the whole point of Bones is that it's.. well... bones. There are a billion criminal science shows out there now, and I really want Bones to play to its own strengths and not veer into the same territory as the others.

Stephen Fry will guest star in a multi episode arc as a shrink that Booth and Brennan are sent to see.

Series star Emily Deschanel's father, Oscar nominated cinematographer Caleb Deschanel, will direct a May episode of the show.

Pretty good episode last night. While you knew nothing was really going to happen to the characters that was permanent, it was good seeing them a little bit freaked out and hurt during the course of the show.

The show drew 12.56 million viewers last night, making it the second largest audience the series has ever had for an episode.

Last night's episode drew 12.64 million viewers. That figure ties the all-time best mark for the series, and it's the highest without an American Idol lead in as well.

I thought the episode was good, but for all the hype of the potential love interest for Brennan, I didn't think there was much, if any, chemistry between the two characters.

Last night's episode drew 12.35 million viewers. That's down 300,000 from last week's high.

Best part of last night is when the prosecutor went off on all of the team and told them to get their heads together.
