Here are some news from FamilyNet:

*The hit series "Merv Griffin's Crosswords" is now on FamilyNet every weekday in a 2 hour block starting at 1 PM Eastern/oon Central!
*They expanded the exposure of the children's classic 'Black Beauty'. There is now a full hour of the show every weekday at 4 PM Eastern/3 PM Central! They are also on a 2 hour block every Sunday starting at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central!
The show 'Judie Byrd's Kitchen' has moved an hour earlier on weekdays. A full hour can be seen at 3 PM Eastern/2 PM Central!
FamilyNet has, however, cancelled the terrific talk show 'EveryDay With Marcus & Lisa'. The three time slots that the show occupied prior to its June 26, 2009 cancellation have been given to the following shows: The 11 AM Eastern/10 AM Central time slot went to the duo of 'The Greats' & 'Landmarks'. The 3 PM Easten/2 PM Central showing went to the aforementioned Judie Byrd's Kitchen. And the 4 AM Eastern/3 AM Central showing went to extra showings of 'erv Griffin's Crosswords!
The interesting series 'TechHead' has also been dropped, leaving FamilyNet without a technology-based show!
They also taken out the exciting classic 'I Spy', due to the rumor that the show was not kid-friendly. The show will return in a nine hour marathon on Saturday, August 8, starting at 9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central! With Early Edition being the only other action-adventure show on the FamilyNet roster, we are in need of some real action!
We have lost the 'American Documentaries' series, which featured some material from the fabled 'Faithprints' series!
But there is hope: There are some new original series coming out in the fall!
*Plus there is going to be a new Children's block for the fall. My hopes are they reinstate Nana Puddin, keep Lil' Iguana, & boot off Adventures In Odyssey!
