Well... they comment burning him out in Astonishing X-Men. Maybe his healing power is still flakey from doing that. Or maybe Josh just sucks. :pOriginally Posted by Young Avenger

I do hope that now that the majority of the students is gone, we can see more of Anole, Hisako, Trance, Pixie, Loa and company...
I'm still interested in learning more about them.
The kill list just keeps growing and growing. Honestly I just hope they don't kill Surge or David. Granted this is because they were my favorite character pre-House of M.
Still as for David staying at the school. I would have liked for him to have a choice but really it isn't safe for him outside of it either. Guess they learned their lesson after the bus. As for him not having powers. Well David's smart and the X-men and mutants in general need their human allies. Powers or not he can still help out. It's not like he's going to be a waste of space.
What I wonder about his his mental block. Granted he dosn't have his X gene anymore like a lot of former mutants but what about the block? Was or is it tied to the gene? What if it's still there? Was it ever commented on? As you can see I'm a David fan, well a New Mutant fan in general to be honest.
I just hope this whole Nimrod thing ends up with there being a bit of time travel going on and all those students are brought back to life, repowered. I really just hope there is some plan to these acts and they aren't just killing charaters off left and right just for the hell of it.

The same complaint from the last issue continues in this one. I'm really sick of seeing characters killed in every issue. And we have at least one death in this one, one that will likely upset the fans of the character. And if the second death turns out to be real, and not X-23 disguised as Dust, then I'll really be annoyed. However I do think it's X-23. I really wish they'd get to the point with whatever Forge is doing though. Hopefully the pay off is as good as the build-up has been. And hopefully the last issue wraps things up good.
Hopefully the final issue next month will be worth the massive culling of students. This book sucks.................
I think I'm gonna drop the title as well........ I'm sick of seeing a character or two die in everyone issue of this book. I miss Nunzio and Christina. They're not killing characters they created. They're killing off the characters that the previous writers created. But still, they've sucked all the fun out of this series. Why exactly do people like N & C's run? ;)Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Death after death after death, banking on the impact of what the previous writers created - how about creating some new emotional territory and getting us attached to this.
And the X-Men come off as borderline retarded. HOW MANY MORE MUST DIE.
Because it was nice to have a book different than the glut of X-Books.Originally Posted by d newton

with all due respect to the creative team, but this series is a complete cluster**** in terms of continuity.
as Beast pointed out, this places GLMKII some time before she lies with angels. Using the Marvel sliding scale, it happened about 6 months ago. It also doesn't mention how Paul is purged from Styker, or the fact that he might now infect the entire world. That was the point of locking them together.
Nimrod is another matter. We've seen that pink bad boy reduced to scraps, teleport away and regenerate to full health. How they bloody blank is a mostly intact Nimrod unit held prisoner? How could Styker stop him from reintegrating himself?
and that's before we get to the deaths of the good characters for the same old same olds.
Gah, if not for my need to collect Colossus appearances, I wouldn't have come near this issue. As it is, I regreted opening it.
Our book is different. I mean, WAY more people die in our book than the other X-titles.Originally Posted by Beast

Oh and Beast… Sweet avatar. I have the model that was used to design that toy. I don’t think they ever released that figure in the Evolution toyline. Sucks.

Dust is dead? Well thare goes my interest of coming back into this comic.
I wish Superboy Prime was in Marvel then he'd give this comic a Retcon Punch.
The writers have a serious hate for New Mutants. Or the previous writers in general.

Dust's death is up in the air. I say no, she's not. We have one month to wonder...Originally Posted by Legato

It's not nice to taunt the fans, Craig. Honestly the writing is great. It's just all the death that is making us all grumpy pants. Well, the continuity hiccup in this one is somewhat problematic also. But anyway...Originally Posted by Craig Kyle
I now am utterly jealous that you have that model. I wanted the action figure so bad, and it sucked that the line was cancelled before he was released. If you -ever- think of parting with it, keep me in mind.
Even if I have to sell a kidney to afford it. Or even my soul. :(
