Default WONDER WOMAN: Love, relationships and sexuality

In the DCU? Have been a lot of speculation, mostly my own. Some thought out most tounge in cheek. But i was remembering my greek mythology today and I remembered that Zues suduced Hercles mother by taking on the apearence of her husband!

If the gods to play with their favorite toys [we mortals ] once again and do the same to Wonder woman and superman, only this time reverse the procedure and make Diana in the image of Lois?

Diana could be a unwilling pawn in this seduction or even more shocking willing. This would be sure to put a strain on their friendship and the whole of the DCU!

Ok, Diana's gotta be like going on 30 and she's still, um, "pure of body" as far as I can tell. Obviously no one in the DC universe is doing it for her romantically, so find someone outside the DC universe you think she'll dig but can still keep up with her lifestyle.

Can be either male or female (c'mon--she's an Amazon). Points for originality.

I'd think Android 17 from DragonBall Z might fit her nicely.
He's young, verile, and if anyone can keep up with her, it's him. Besides, she's strong and needs someone who won't break easily, and the Androids don't break easily.

Another possible match is Thor. An Amazon and an Asgardian God. Both are skilled warriors and if anyone can keep up with her warrior lifestyle, it's him.

An alternative is Xena, the Amazonian-like Warrior Princess who's at least 30. Amazonian + Amazonian-like = Happy Wonder Woman.

To avoid the usual Thor-Wonder Woman match-up.

    Balder the Brave.

Some versions of Loki would be .. interesting to see.

I have to wait how Tieri's Hercules-series is going to redeem him. It would be interesting to see how Wonder Woman would deal with a more benevolent version of Hercules (why does Hercules get screwed over in both Marvel and DC?)

    Because neither company owns hercules.

Personally, I find it interesting and somewhat hypocritical of both companies.

they want the mass-media et al to treat their characters with respect (neither would write one of their heavy hitter like how they write hercules) yet arguably, the Western world's first "Hero" is treated so shabbily.

    Kind of makes you wonder.

Umm, the original mythic Hercules was a rampaging jerkass on a scale that makes the original mythic Achilles look like Silver Age Captain America.

I mean, we're talking war crimes and genocide here.

The Avengers version is actually being *KIND* to him.

Enormously powerful mythic warrior? Yup. Son of the gods? Yup. Nice guy? *HELL* no.

Of course, you've gotta understand, some of the Gods, Hera in particular, wanted Hercules miserable and/or dead since pretty much birth. If I had Gods pissed at me and wanting me dead and/or miserable, I'd be an asshole too.

Same reason why one could say Kratos from God of War is such an ass much of the time.

Sufferin' Sappho! What about Moondragon? Or if we want to play it straight, I think a certain Steve Rogers looks more than a little like Steve Trevor.

I think the idea of supstituting Steve Rogers for Steve Trevor could be quite intresting.

Victor Von Doom would possibly be a romantic candidate for Diana since he can be a genuinely charming fellow at times. Doom has always been somewhat of a romantic anti-hero.
