    Default New Role for Catman

What role would you like to see the new super cool Catman take in the DCU. I can't see him ransoming the world or anything but with the supposed lightening up of Bats why not have Cats take on his self elected mission of keeping hero's in check?

I would be surprised if DC doesn't give him a mini.

I like his current role member of S6... Is pretty good palce to be right now...

    I must ask why change???
All stories are imaginary, so you get to decide what's important and what isn't. Continuity is fluid.

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned Catman belongs in Gail's Secret Six. And that should be it. No minis, one-shots or annuals. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Secret Six is one of the best comics out today, no doubt, and the entire group seems to be a perfect fit. That being said, I would love to see Gail explore the character even more and give him a solo adventure. The Lawton-Blake dynamic is wonderful but there seems like a story or two that can be told during TB's transformation from overweight and underworked Green Arrow villain to the sly savage beast that turned down Luthor's society in the jungle. Plus he goes by Catman....proudly. It takes a bada$$ to pull that off. By no means am I saying overexpose him Deadpool style or pull him out of the Secret Six storyline, but a 6 ish tale from Gail and one of the fabulous artists she works with would be well deserved.

Heck, I also would love to see a mini for Scandal, Lawton (Ostrander) and Ragdoll as well.

I believe Catman's ultimate evolution or character arc is to come to the "good side" (though he'll probably be more of anti-hero type) but I'm in NO rush to see it happen. The best part of it is the journey. He's one of the most dynamic characters in SS, no need to take him out.

I would like to see a Catman mini though and I'd like to see Gail write a definitive Catman orgin, or Year One type story. I dont know a whole lot about the the earlier child/teen/young adult years of Catman. Gail has made him such a great character, that I'd like to see her a write a story defining those earlier years. It would be easier to understand the man he is today.

I also hope Gail won't drop the ball on whatever went on in Africa that she set up in her first SS story arc, and I'm hoping she'll be revisiting the Catman/Huntress relationship.

I don't think Catman is a character right now that can have too much overexposure so while I don't think he needs a "new" role, I just think we should get more of him. He's catching on with readers and quick. He's dynamic enough that one day, when the times write, he could carry a solo title.

I'd say Catman's current role is just fine. He's in good hands with Gail Simone on S6, I'm in no hurry to see that change

Let Gail do what she wants with him!

Don't make it like Black Canary, where she builds the character up, then loses them to a 'bigger title' - which pretty much killed BoP (along with Gail's departure), and does anyone read Green Arrow these days?
    I'm not you.
    So you know I'm right.

Catman is a great character and he belongs in the 6. At least one of them should have somewhat noble intentions. I don't want to read about a bunch of bloodthirsty psychos else I would read Dark X-Men, Dark Avengers, and Thunderbolts. DC has a few characters that straddle the line between hero and villain, like The Shade which is more refreshing.
