As it turns out, space isn’t the place for Cable and Hope. Against all odds, Bishop has found them again, and taken their spacecraft hostage. All Bishop needs is to see the girl. Once he has visual confirmation, it’s simply a matter of triggering the nuclear bomb hidden in his arm, and his lifelong mission to save the X-Men (and Earth) is over. And there are only so many places to hide in a small transport vessel on the far reaches of our solar system. But there is someone else aboard the vessel, and she doesn’t care about Cable or Bishop’s war. She’s been drawn to the life force of one of the vessel’s inhabitant, and she and her army will stop at nothing until they have her…Enter: The Brood Queen!

He'll become a full born cyborg by the end of this.

Nah at the end of this storyline he is going to suddenly wake up somewhere and say, "It was all a dream, i used to read Mutant Up Magazine, Ororo n' Jean and Heavy B up in the hoversine. Hanging X-men pictures on my wall, every Saturday Mexrap attack, Mr. Immortal, Marvel Boy. I let my sound crystal rock till the crystal popped. " Etc, etc...... etc.

Death is fine, I just want that time-quake idea to happen where all these mutants from alternate futures pop up in Bishops wake.

I wish that tentacle would move out of Bishop's way so he can shoot Cable. I mean Dang, Son. [ha ha ha ha only kidding]

Anyways, The way that Brood drone is going after Cable's groin and Bishops neck---I don't think I would file this cover under tentacle abuse.

I don't know if this helps, but according to wikipedia Cable's techno-organic body allows him to interface with machinery, using them to hack into computers. So I imagine it is possible someone can hack into his body and control him, until Marvel says otherwise (I imagine it would take something like the Phalanx to do it -- anything less would make him a walking plot device).

As for Bishop's mechanical arm, I recall it does not have that type of capability -- it simply allows for time travel and gives him enhanced strength.

You asked this facetiously earlier, I assume. I pretty much got disenchanted with comic books when it seemed like a lot of the storylines started becoming mean-spirited and dumbed down. Some of the rough concepts I liked, but it seems like the creators' ideas are poorly executed. I feel when you get to the point where you feel you can do something better than the so-called "experts" (and I admit, in all likelihood, I really can't), then maybe it's time to move on.

This storyline with Bishop is one of those cases -- just by moving around some parts and being consistent with the character, it could be a more enjoyable storyline. Surely, if a layman like me can figure that out I would think the "experts" can see the forest from the trees.

Maybe it'll be a leg. Thus Bishop becomes a pirate!

Bishop is not another version on Sebastian Shaw.

Also, regarding Bishop's past and powers, fans can not allow for inaccurate writing to retcon facts out of existence.

In real life, all of us actually contain electricity, which is how the brain operates. So a mutant like Bishop should have vast stores of energy all of the time.

Remember how during the Phalanx Covenant the Phalanx got absorbed by the Professor, which created ProSh (= Professor+Ship). So there's no way Phalanx technology (for example) could take over Celestial technology, which is not only what the Professor (X-Factor's Ship) is, but is also the basis of Cable's Techno-Organic Virus and the Legacy Virus. This is why when the airborne cure for the Legacy Virus was distributed, Cable's T-O Virus was also affected.

ProSh left for outer space but returned to Earth and is currently known as Providence (re. CABLE & DEADPOOL).

And AFAIK, Celestial technology is about the most powerful in the Marvel Universe, this tech was widespread in Cable's era.

Cable will always have the T-O Virus, until it's shown he has somehow acquired an artificial left eye, left arm and left leg to replace what will surely be missing if the virus ever truly left his system.

It would be an interesting idea if Cable hacked into Bishop's cybernetic system. But isn't Bishop's arm removable? Unlike Cable's cybernetics, Bishop's arm isn't permanently attached to him AFAIK. If this is true, then Cable could at least take over Bishop's arm, while Cable's telepathy and TK could do the rest.

In C&D his T/O was replaced by some T/O alien baby when Silver Surfer blew out that part of the body. He doesnt have a virus he has a symbiotic system.

Ok. But not much is left to discuss about Bishop anymore. I would like to see him confronted by Sage over his recent actions continuity nonwithstanding.
