    Default The Sopranos

Wooo wasnt guessing he get shot

Granted I not a huge leap to say he going to live..I'm certain but it was still a shock sense it came out of NO WHERE!!!

    Just shot the dude.

Which kind of make the violence of the sopranoes more real

It not glamorous. No slow mo shots, or Doves flying

Brutal, quick, crule and sometimes pointless

They were having problems with their son (drugs) and thought leaving Jersey was a fresh start. So, Christopher had said soldier whack a guy that was behind on some payments, telling him he'd probably win Tony over with this and be let go. Silvio then informs the guy he can't leave. We then find out that the Feds have been leaning on this guy, and now the Ray (forgot his last name) has just died on them, they need a new person to start spying on Tony and crew. With all this crap coming down on him, the soldier hangs himself in his garage.

Just more of a point to show what a bastard Tony is as they showed him and Carmilla eating at this new posh Sushi Bar quite a bit and he buying her a new Porsche SUV. Nobody else's comfort matters other than Tony's.

If we're going to count this as the official thread, could we modify the title so that Sopranos is spelled correctly? Sans the E?

And that's the problem with taking off 14 years between seasons. You can't remember who is who.

It bugs me that Tony and Carmella are back together, and there's no explanation why. No doubt Tony bought Carm the Porsche with the money that was given to him from the inheritance that the guy's aunt left him.

Tony is such an asshole.

Last season, it looked like Carmella was fed up and the marriage was over. I know that time has passed, but it would be nice if the reconciliation were explained.

I'm only on Season 4 disc 4 right now. But I'm catching up and should be finished after one more go around from blockbuster.com and Netflix.

    Default Regarding "the new character".....

He's not a new character. He's been around since Season 3, and has always been a part of Ralphie and Vito's crew. Amongst his activities:

    - he beat up the garbage guy for threatening to go to the EPA
    - he got made with Christopher
    - he threatened the juror in the Uncle Junior trial at the variety store
    - he was the guy who broke the glass bottle over Little Paulies head

They did explain it at the end of the previous season. When Carmella tried to go forward with divorce proceedings, she discovered that because of the illigitimate nature of Tony's assets, there was nothing to get in a legal divorce case. Carmella then just gave in and reconciled with Tony because she realized that she would have nothing if she left Tony and would have to take care of herself financially. It just revealed the materialistic nature of Carmella. But they seem to be getting along better now.

Like I said, when there's the lifespan of your average hamster between seasons, it's hard to keep track.

Thanks for the answer, it's been almost 2 frigging years since they had an original episode, and I didn't watch the re-runs. That'll teach me. :o

I agree about Carm's materialistic tendencies. Tony knows this I think, and has used this to his advantage. He's gotten her jewelry and such to persuade her to look the other way when he decides to bang one legged ladies, chicks at the Bada Bing, and the like.... Only now, it's a house and a car.

He must really like Carm's baked Ziti.

The guy that hung himself was Eugene Pontecorvo, he was an FBI informant just like the old Guy Raymond that died.

I was on the IMDB earlier looking at The Sopranos and I clicked on the name of the guy that Played Furio (Federico Castelluccio) and apparently he will be making a return to the show this season.

I was confused on why Junior shot Tony but then I remembered that Tony said he was some guy named Little Pussy Malanga and since Junior has alzheimers there is the explanation right there. Now there is going to be a power struggle over whos going to be the new boss if Tony dies.
Dean: So, what do we do now?
Castiel: I suggest we imbibe copious quantities of alcohol... just wait for the inevitable blast wave.

I really hope they dont drag this coma thing out too much. Dream eps are ok once in a while, but the mafia storylines are what Im most interested in.
    The Lion banner sways and falls in the horror-haunted gloom;
A scarlet Dragon rustles by, borne on winds of doom.
In heaps the shining horsemen lie, where the thrusting lances break,
And deep in the haunted mountains, the lost, black gods awake.
Dead hands grope in the shadows, the stars turn pale with fright,
For this is the Dragon's Hour, the triumph of Fear and Night.

It's looking like Tony will be out for a while and everyone else is going to do a power struggle. Looks promising.
