Axl's letter to Cleveland , Ohio fans on not attending.

To: Cleveland, Ohio, Guns N' Roses Fans and everyone who's shown support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
I seriously didn't plan on or expect the overwhelmingly positive response and public support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. With such a generous outpouring of solidarity from fans, media outlets, writers and other artists, I'm truly humbled, blown away and unbelievably relieved! To be honest, I thought it would go the other way and was just hoping to weather the storm. As I said, I sincerely didn't want to disappoint anyone. It gets old being the outlaw even if "it's only rock and roll".

It took a lot of focus and soul searching to be sincere and informative while making a genuine effort to be somewhat diplomatic. We made, what I feel, are real efforts to learn about the Hall and the Board, spoke as I said with the president and various members, and though I inducted Elton John and Bernie Taupin in '94 saying something to the effect of "I'm learning what the Hall's about..."

I still don't exactly know or understand what the Hall is or how or why it makes money, where the money goes, who chooses the voters and why anyone or this board decides who, out of all the artists in the world that have contributed to this genre, officially "rock" enough to be in the Hall?

This isn't an attack. These are genuine issues I don't have enough verified information on to have more than rough ideas. Certainly not enough information to make any judgments about.

I would like to apologize to Cleveland, Ohio for not apologizing to them beforehand for not attending [the ceremony] in their city. I think they know how much I genuinely love performing there. Cleveland does in fact Rock!!

Now that the smoke's cleared a little, any desperate, misguided attacks have been just that, a pathetic stab at gossip, some lame vindictiveness, the usual entitlement crap, he's obsessed, crazy, volatile, a hater. I once bought a homeless woman a slice of pizza who yelled at me she wanted soup. We got her the soup. You can get your own.

Again: HUGE thanks to the fans and to everyone for the incredible public support. My congratulations to the other artists inducted. And my apologies to the city and people of Cleveland, Ohio. I hope you'll forgive me and we hope to see you again soon!

I think the one line was intended for those who booed him at the show but he seems to sum it up for them. His disagreements seem to be more about the Hall of Fame and what happened there really. Also a Rollingstone.com article claimed quite a few have no-showed the event before Rose.

Izzy Stradlin joined the band at last nights O2 Arena show. Rose had hinted that Izzy would likely show up at some points to perform with the band. He played on a few songs...

I was there with standing tickets.

Coincidentally was also at the Wembley concert in 2006 where Izzy also made a surprise appearance.

The show was really good. The band came onstage at 10.40 pm but made up for it by playing a set nearly three hours long. The place was still about three-quarters full by the time they finished.

I'd say I enjoyed Sleep and Slayer's performance at the Alexandra Palace in London on May 25th more thanks to the sheer intensity but this was definitely money well spent.

Next up is Kyuss, Anthrax, Megadeth, Soundgarden and BLACK SABBATH at Donington on Sunday.

At a surprise show in France , Izzy Stradlin played nearly the entire set with Guns n Roses. The songs he played on :

Usually Stradlin and McKagen who showed up last year only played on 2 or 3 songs. But this one seemed as close a reunion concert for Stradlin/Rose as possible.

There was a rumor that Guns n Roses will play a special show in Vegas this September and possibly tour India this fall/winter. Also its being discussed that they will likely play the Rock in Rio in 2013.

Well that rumor seems to be true in a big way. For the month of November , Guns n Roses will play 12 shows at the Joint in the Hard Rock and Casino .

Guns N' Roses will be taking over the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV starting October 31st.
The band will play shows at the venue Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays until November 24th.

GNR will perform 12 mind-blowing shows October 31-November 24 when they make The Joint their new home. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Appetite for Destruction , the band will perform hits from Appetite through their latest album, Chinese Democracy. The show set list has been created exclusively for The Joint and will include their hits from various albums and even some covers from other artists. 'There's a lot of stuff recorded,' promises guitarist

Guns N' Roses have plenty on their plate this fall. The rockers will play Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit, which runs October 20th and 21st in Mountain View, California, and then take to Las Vegas on Halloween for a 12-date residency through November 24th at the Hard Rock Hotel's Joint club. The band's guitarist, DJ Ashba, believes these dates will bring the band closer to releasing some of the plentiful new material they have.

"[Axl Rose] has tons of stuff done [and] recorded that he's played for me and wants my input on," Ashba tells Rolling Stone. "Axl's put together such a talented group of musicians and there are so many songs that are already worked out. So we've got a good jump on it, for sure."

Guns N' Roses' two concert experiences will be ambitious as well, promises Ashba. For the Bridge School Benefit, Guns N' Roses will perform an entirely unplugged set in tribute to the event's founder. "A lot of the acoustic shows in the past, I would still play on the [electric] Les Paul – but for this, we're going all acoustic, no electric anything. That's how Neil kind of envisioned the whole thing, so we're gonna stay true to that, for sure," Ashba explains. "We're gonna add a couple [songs] that the band's never played... I know Axl is really excited to do it."

This year's Bridge School bill also features Jack White, k.d. lang, Steve Martin's bluegrass act and Lucinda Williams. "I think Jack White's a brilliant musician and Steve Martin, k.d. lang [are] really good live. It's just gonna be a fun day," enthuses Ashba. "I'll be a little kid that day."

For the group's plugged-in Sin City run, Ashba claims, "It's gonna be a different experience for sure. The whole entire stage looks different." Their Appetite for Democracy residency will include new live production and set lists and is timed to this year's 25th anniversary of their landmark debut album, Appetite for Destruction.

"We're playing three shows a week and our main goal is to make every show unique and really change it up because we do realize there are going to be a lot of people flying from all over the world to see maybe one, two, three shows," says Ashba. "But there are the local people that we do take into consideration that may show up to every single show. That's kind of what's been cool about Guns: it's so spontaneous live, we've never followed a set list."

The Vegas residency may also prove the most fruitful period for creating new material, notes Ashba. "This is the first time we're all gonna be in the same place for a month solid and that will be, and already has been talked about, our main focus. So I think we're gonna get a lot of done," he says. "There's a lot of stuff recorded and I think it's just a matter of sitting down and working together as a band, putting together what we feel is gonna be the next best Guns N' Roses record. And I can't wait; I'm so excited to dive even deeper into that."

It should be interesting to see what they do. Its no shock Rose has a lot already recorded. So he will want Ashba's input on it and will likely perhaps go with a song or 2 Ashba does on the next album.

Rose jokes about his late issues and Kimmel razzes him claiming he should leave a comedian on stage for an hour and half for the hell of it before taking the stage in Vegas this month. Rose though discusses the performance he did with Neil Young and his performers he loved. You can see he's a big Queen and Elton John fan.
