Granted, it could be from the downpour that night, but regardless, because of the bad press, it's going to affect ticket sales.
Well to be fair the band took a break from touring this past spring after touring all thru 2009/2010. They were coming off a 6-7 month break and had limited rehearsals for this.

I think it would have been best if Axl did what he did in 2006. Before he played Lisbon at that Rock in Rio show , he did 3-4 concerts in New York city as warm up shows.

Axl telling stories on Slash from their hey-days:

    http://www.nme.com/news/guns-n-roses/59864

It doesn't sound like there was any malice in Axl's voice as he was telling this story -- there's an almost wistful-like tone to it.

And I just finished reading Duff's book -- mentioned the Axl reunion from last year. Nothing big to reveal -- they hung out, caught up on the times and that was it. If they did talk about a reunion of any kind, he left it out.

It was a nice story and how Rose claimed he got lucky with how the women would flock to Slash.

Rose has already came out and said he would like to do something with Matt , Duff and Izzy. That he likes them. Izzy played at some spots in 2006. Matt ran into Axl in 2006 and they talked awhile. The only one he seems to have some issues with is Slash. (Maybe Izzy , Duff and Matt could help work things out with him and Slash)

This one is from 1989, L.A. show during "Out Ta Get Me" -- does his "Axl-Stomp" right off the edge of the stage -- THUD! Kept on goin' too.

Personally I laugh at the media who keeps up how "shitty" they feel its all going. How horrible they claim. Ohhh Axl fell down. Ohh Axl is playing too many tracks off CD (Wow...a band playing songs off the last album). Yet no one gives a shit what they write and continue to go. Enertainment Weekly basically cried in the article that no one cares what negative press the band gets or Rose , that people still go. I laughed my ass off at it.

The fans do not give a shit media. You can hate it all you want. Yes a man fell off the stage , but Rose got back up and continues his show and tour , just like he has since 2009. I'm sure Rose can say ...hey media...go get fucked. I'm gonna keep going and do this.

(Its rumored that Ashba and others due to Rock n Rio , got the flu...but are pushing on )

If you need to criticize him, criticize his shitty performance at Rock in Rio, the weight thing is kind of petty. He's gained a chin or two, yeah, but he's far from "unrecognizable" or morbidly obese. So he doesn't have the six-pack he had when he was twenty, few do.

No, I never thought I'd defend Axl Rose either, it feels weird.

Well they can't seem to get the pass on criticizing him at Rio due to the situation he played in. The band nearly didn't play due to the hard rain. It was cold , they basically just went with songs quick (at one point , Rio throws up "There Was a Time" but its an entirely different song) and Rose couldn't hit the high notes due to how cold it was it seemed.

Days later no one watched the shows in Chile where the performance was better and inside . Of course not...

Also its a bet...if Rose ever did reunite with the old band , the press and media would instantly change. They would instantly start claiming how great the band is and how Rose still has it. But I think Axl knows it and pretty much is like...fuck you . I'm still Axl Rose and why should I let you dictate what I do ? I can't help but think at least some of the song "Sorry" is to the media in a way.

On the set list there was 5 songs from CD for this show.

    Chinese Democracy
    Better
    Madagascar
    Street of Dreams

I wonder if Enertainment Weekly will continue to cry over Rose playing too many songs from the last album still ?

Slash and others have gained weight. But hell...its not to a point Rose needs wheeled on stage. As the video showed he can still run around on stage and all.

I don't understand thiswhen did this happen? cause ever since they have been famous all the girls love Axl (he married a freaking Supermodel) and usually lead singers are the ones to get the most girls anyways regardless of looks or talent.

[QUOTE=SUPERECWFAN1;14043544]It was a nice story and how Rose claimed he got lucky with how the women would flock to Slash. Yes i liked it i wish Axl would stop hating on Slash (i don't even know why or for what reason) cause Slash as always has been chill about everything since the breakup and he hasn't really trash talked the new band or album at all.

If there is gonna be a reunion and for once it looks like maybe with the rock and roll halll of fame and the way Axl is talking it actually looks like it could posssibly happen for once.

Rose has already came out and said he would like to do something with Matt , Duff and Izzy. That he likes them. Izzy played at some spots in 2006. But wot about their original drummer ? saw him on some reality shows and i felt so sorry for him cause he has fucked himself over pretty damn good but maybe he is good enough for at least to get back together with the band for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Matt can like double up on drums and cover up any mistakes he might make?

Well Eddie Trunk tried to keep it a secret for as long as he could. But the pictures just leaked and it was annouced. Axl Rose and DJ Ashba will be the guests on Trunk's "That Metal Show" on VH1 Classic on November 11th.

It will be Axl Rose's 1st on camera interview in maybe 2 decades.

But Trunk wasn't done with just this news. In other shocking news.... Duff McKagen's "LOADED" will open some dates for Guns n Roses soon. From the interview Rose gave.

It seems the rumors of Axl Rose being sick was true. He's battling bronchitis due to his performance in the cold rain from Rock in Rio. Rose is still pushing forward with the tour though.

GUNS N' ROSES Singer Battling Bronchitis - Oct. 31, 2011

An insider from the GUNS N' ROSES management has informed BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the band's lead singer, Axl Rose, has been battling bronchitis and the so-called Montezuma's Revenge for the past couple of weeks. Despite this, he continues to play three-hour shows with the group, which is scheduled to perform at the Bi-Lo Center Arena in Greenville, South Carolina tonight (Monday, October 31).
