    Default Dragon Quest VIII Help

I've been trying to find Nohi, the third and most powerful of the robot capturable monsters. Unfortunately, I've had no luck.

Now, I have currently beaten everything Rank B and below in the arena. I've got the Godbird.

I've been checking at the ledge south of the Dragon Graveyard and the island in the lake south of Ascantha, at night. No luck finding it, several attempts.

Not sure I ever found it either. I did end up beating the entire Arena challenge with the Golems though. Took a few times but they finally did it. Just gather up Brickman, Goldman, and Stoneman and give them a try. They are all pretty east to find.

I don't know why you're having suck trouble finding Nohi, but unless it is your intention to capture every capture in the game in an effort to wring out every ounce of playability, don't bother.

The three robot team really isn't all that powerful at all. I got to Rank A with them, but had to use a different team, not a special team at all, just three particularly powerful monsters, for Rank S.

Oh, I already have My Three Golems, and will probably be beating the Arena with them. Thing is, its of little use when taking on anything other than boss fights. I was figuring that Triple Trouble would be more useful for taking on large group random fights, what with the double attacks.

Taken Directly from the Arena Faq:

    NOHI (a.k.a. Killer Director)
    Species: Killing Machine
    Family: Machine
    Experience: 496
    Gold: 118
    Coin: Gold
Locations: 1. Area south of the Dragon Graveyard (requires Godbird). 2. Island
in center of lake south of Ascantha (requires Godbird). In both locations Nohi
    only appears at night.
Teams: The Blade Runners, Clank and Spank, The Legends, Triple Trouble
Comments: Nohi is the final and most powerful of the killing machines. Paired
with Roborg and Cybot to form the Triple Trouble team, the killing machine team
is capable of taking on all comers in the arena.

Apparently he only shows up at night.

Already knew that, and managed to get him eventually. OTOH, you guys were right, Triple Trouble is not really worth the effort.

Now that that question is answered, how about some tips to beat the stupid Godbird?!? My party is at Level 34 now. If I get desperate I might just tough it out to Level 38 where the 100 Skill abilities become available, but if there's any "trick", I'd be appreciative.

Thought I'd bring this back. Not asking for help, more for how the people who played it liked it. I've been eyeballing it and so far it seems that the majority of the people who've played it loved it.

    Pros/Cons?
