I just recently watched this anime, and felt it deserves a thread.
The anime, it ends differently from the mang? Or am I wrong?
The ending seemed more abstract to me in the anime, and more tragic.

i keep meanin to finish watchin this as it another top notch gonzo anime bassed on a reat manga
it's just i can see the horribly depressin endin closin in and somehow i can bear to watch more....

OK, i just watched this and i have to say DAMN. But what the hell happened? Why was the world attacking Japan to begin with?
Yeah I give up. They would need like a bajillion UNs to take it out. And they would all have to work.

Theorized to be for territory and natural resources. Don't remember where I saw that, I've only read the manga.
