Default How do feel about the Spider-Man/Shadowcat relationship?

    Personally, I love it.

I was getting tired of the Peter/MJ stuff, so its nice to have a nice break from it, so both characters can finally mature and grow up.

I also like it, because for the first time in a REALLY long time, Peter seems genually happy. I've never seen him this happy with MJ at all. I don't know, but it just seems like Kitty makes Peter less angsty and more pleasant to be around.

I also like it because we finally have a chance to have more X-Men/Spider-Man crossovers.

Given the popularity this pairing has generated, I wouldn't be surprised if this story is featured in ultimate x-men at some point down the road. I heard there are definately plans for it that are already in the making.

I hope they stay together for a little while, like for a year or so, before they eventually break up and ulitimately put Peter and MJ back together.

I like the fact that Kitty's dating someone who isn't an X-Man.

It feels too forced in my opinion. Like one day somebody said "Hey, you know what'd be cool? Throw Spidey and Shadowcat in a romantic relationship." And then they did it without really building up to it.

I think if it had been built over time, slowly, it would be better. But it was just kinda put together in one story so I don't really feel it there.

It would have better if it started with X-men cameos in Ultimate Spidey. Like Spidey accidentally running into the X-men on missions or in their mutant community work and slowly building a friendship with them, especially Kitty. Then finally working up the confidence to call her and ask her out.

Usually I can't stand the dragging out by Bendis, but this is one of those things that should have been drug out instead of rushed.

They've been introducing the Spider/Kitty thing since Geldoff.

    Or was it before Geldoff?

The relationship isn't forced at all. Kitty always had a thing for Spider-Man. When she found out that he was around her age just made her more interested in him. Let's not forgot the fact that she called Peter and asked him out. You don't need build up just to ask someone out on a date. I believe that was cover in Spidey's Ultimate X-Men appearances.

Storm and Black Panther is racist, or just plain stupid, depending on your point of view.

As for Kitty and Pete, honestly after reading her in the claremount Excalibur issues, I think that in 616 aside from the age difference, they would be a good couple.

I'm all for it. Better then any other crap relationship Marvel have done in a while. And the fact that the current Kitty/Colossus one in the MU I think is boring this is a good change.

I like it. Its new, different, and as far as I am aware (but I am sure someone who knows history better than me) its not been done before between these two characters. Its a new twist. This is the kind of thing I hope to see more of, on a grander scale, happening in the Ultimate Universe. Just look at what they have done with The Ultimates, excellent stuff.

Thats the part i hope wont happen , or at least before yeaaaaars . IF that sentence even end up making sense ... i hope that Kitty becomes ultimately the new MJ . I love MJ in its ultimate counterparts as well , but i'm more psyched by this new relationship .

I can see pete and kitty break up at some point , then MJ happily getting back together with him , but the relationship failing again , then peter and kitty together again :D :evilsmile .

    It's a great, fun pairing.

    I'm all for it.
