    Default Wonder Woman casting call

Hello People, I have only just joined today so forgive me if this subject has already been covered, but i just wanted to know if the role of Wonder Woman had been cast yet? Personally i would like to see Charisma Carpenter get the part as i think she has the perfect look for it and her Buffy training should hold her in good stead for the action part of the role (the fact that she would look drop dead gorgeous in that costume has nothing to do with it,,honest!). I also think that Jennifer Love Hewitt or Angelina Jolie would be worth a look. What do you guys and gals think? Whilst i am on the subject, does anyone know who the bad guy is going to be yet? I'd like to see Cheetah myself.

I'll take Lucy Lawless as WW. But I don't know who has been cast.

With Joss Whedon at the helm, there's a good chance Morena Baccarin could be Diana.

Of course you could use the same argument for Charisma Carpenter, but I think Morena is the better fit.

Officially it has been Warner Bros. position that absolutely no one is being considered for any role until the script is finally submitted in pre-production. Once that is out of the way, then the flood of "real" potential actresses will be announced. In the meanwhile, all the actresses mentioned in the press as being "contenders" are simply those actresses Press Managers doing their job with nothing really to back it up.

Baccarin got asked about Wonder Woman at a panel at Dragon Con this year. She said that she'd love the part, but (iirc) she didn't know if she was under consideration.

Joss has said he's using a younger Diana, he doesn't want a big name for the role, and he has a good relationship with Baccarin. Thats about all we have right now.

IIR Joss isn't even done with the script yet.

Morena is attractive and all, but she is too freakin' short to be Diana. They need an actress near 6' or better, and she is like 5'4" or so.

Lawless is 5'11 I beleive, so she could pull it off.

Lawless is also too old for the age range most execs want Diana to be. That and doesn't she have injuries that wouldn't allow her to do some of the stunts or something? I heard a rumor about that around the time that Xena ended.

The injuries you are talking about may have simply been the riding incident that she had while on the tonight show. She has recovered from that. Age... well that is another matter.

Charisma then would be my next choice. Or there is an actress who played an andorian in Enterprise that looked the part, aside from the green skin. Funny thing is, the actress is blonde. But damn, she looks like she could play Diana.

Id go with that, she does look like Diana in a certain angle. Give her alittle muscle tone then she would be alright for the part. Im not worried about the height since thare are special effects that can make a person look taller on film.

DC should sign Linda Carter as Wonder Woman's mother. It would be like an old school feel for the people that watch the WW tv show.

Only thing is that Lynda has said in interviews that she is not interested in being in the Wonder Woman movie if only to say, "Hey! There's Lynda Carter!". She said that if her role could actually be more than just a cameo nod, she'd be more than happy to participate.

Lynda would be a great Hippolyta.
I hope this 911 is for real and not just on tv.

I wouldn't call playing as Hippolyta a small role. She was a important character in the early issues of the Wonder Woman comic. Besides it could be like a passing of the torch between Lynda and whomever plays Wonder Woman.
