He's getting promoted to drawing Green Lantern Corps.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new artist's faces, but what can you do. It was only a matter of time before they realized that Bernard Chang was too good for a low-profile book.
I imagine there's only room for one Amazon/Ex love interest on the team.
It's one of those weird circular, self-fulfilling prophecies where it was prophesied that he'd become a vampire, so he lets himself become a vampire because he was told he would.
(Also come on Ex...
It sounds like next arc might offer some of the wackiness people are craving, what with Vandal Savage's army of giants mentioned in the solicits. This arc was really just wrapping up one of the big...
I thought it was a little bit abrupt, especially the death of Fara who goes down incredibly easy despite being built up to be a major character. I think I'm okay with that, though, given that most...
I await Vanguard being like "Man Horsewoman's horse is a dick" to Ystin.
I just like that the pace moves along. "We're going to have to ride all night and day to catch them!" Next page: "Well, we rode all night and day, and here we are!"
As far as plot developments...
I figure it's probably entering its endgame, given that the arc after the vampires is apparently the quest for the Holy Grail, which has been the one plot thread uniting the book's entire run. Maybe...
I refuse to listen to or dignify such heresy with a response!
I appreciate that the story is moving right along. I'd almost expect a comic nowadays to spend at least a couple issues on just the heist in Vandal Savage's castle.
Ex and Ystin need to hurry up...
Little disappointed in a fill-in artist for Demon Knights, but at least it's the fill-in guy from the first two arcs who was pretty solid. I was beginning to think that Bernard Chang was some sort...
This is one of the only creative team changes that wasn't because the book was terrible and directionless under the old writer, and where the new writer seems pretty good and is actually trying to...
Yeah, it was just a mistake and Venditti joked about it on twitter and gave the first person that caught it an autographed copy of the issue.
It's probably one of those "fix it for the trade"...
That review is so silly. I don't understand how in the world he decided that the characters are totally different now. And we're supposed to get the impression that the character relationships are...
They should keep him old, but reveal that his "oh I'm just an old man that likes to go to bed early" thing is misdirection and he's still more than capable of holding his own when need be.
Yeah, I was glad to see that Al Jabr is still around and has a purpose now as the brains behind the group, even if he's not going to adventure with them anymore.
Sir Ystin and Exoristos, why must...
Also, I guess Cain's second-in-command is a vampirized Amazon, judging by the similarity between her armor and Ex's? Maybe we'll learn more about Ex's past this arc.
I want to know why they changed the cover. The one it was originally solicited with was way better.
I guess the article is supposed to go up tomorrow, but you could get to it via Google earlier today and they took it down.
ComicsAlliance has a pretty comprehensive interview with Keatinge and Campbell about the book and its ending, including them talking about a bizarre and amazing aborted story arc involving a cow farm.
This was a pretty good conclusion. I'm gonna miss Paul Cornell.
I like that he brought back several things from earlier in the book that end up being instrumental in the conclusion (Arthur's...
Campbell has talked about it a bit on his deviantart and said that it's ending due to low sales, which seems to imply that it's not going to continue to me. I guess they could get a new team, but...
I don't think the book sells well enough to be continued, unfortunately. The price increase was just so they could get to the ending they wanted without the book being cut short prematurely.
And...
