This sounds exactly like the experiences I've had in one of the comic shops in Leicester. Bloody awful every time I went in there.
Do you know if this is in the UK as well?
I can't imagine many situations where I would insta-buy 25 comics I've already owned in varying formats but this probably tops the list.
Today is a good day.
If the last issue of Animal Man I picked up was 11, would I be missing anything important by coming back onboard here?
Would it have killed DC to get more than the first 6 issues of Unknown Soldier up in this? I've been waiting far too long for any more issues to be put on comixology.
-.-
As well as all that, in one issue he gunned down a room of Yakuza thugs.
Somebody should write that as one of the short Legends of the Dark Knight digital comics.
In Grell's run, he was less outed and more 'oh, that was supposed to be a secret?'
Good thing you aren't forced to read digital comics on a tablet/smartphone.
How can a longstanding character be introduced recently? They haven't had the time to build up critical reception and a huge following.
Demon Knights and I, Vampire are probably the two most underrated books that DC is putting out. They deserve a hell of a lot more sales than what they get.
Overrated books would be things like...
OMG Grells run!
Finally.
What? No.
Buying a $2 issue on Comixology will set you back around £1.20, so literally half the price of what you're suggesting.
That Earth seems like the perfect home for all my money.
Just sayin', DC.
I did miss the overarching story and the great meta-narrative of the first book, but I definitely enjoyed all the separate stories of Disinterred. It's always nice to see new ground being tread...
A more accurate description would be 'the guy who is always trying to protect the "little man", but is in actual fact a great big colossal arsehole.'
He isn't in it. It is a great Ollie/Roy story though.
I would definitely say that I would buy more second, third and beyond issues by being given a free first issue that I really enjoyed. I'm definitely going to be reading the rest of Glory, Planetoid,...
I will never understand why people can't just leave a timeline vague and unexplained rather than laying it out in a way that makes no sense whatsoever.
Is it really that important to state what...
All the skeptical people should remember that Jericho only ever got a second season due to fans mailing untold amounts of Peanuts to the TV station that made it.
Demon Knights or I, Vampire. I struggle to pick a single book that I would say is DC's top.
Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Frankenstein, JLD are all ranked right up there as well but I'd say those two...
Is this the first new 52 book to slip into a different month with it's issue release dates? I only remember reading about a couple of weekly delays on a handful of titles before this.
Damn that sounds like a fun book. I'd be down with it no matter who the main characters were.
Grell's run - issues 51 & 52. Utterly terrible stuff.
