I voted for Star Trek simply because IDW's line retelling TOS in the reboot universe is the only licensed book I still buy. I used to get Aliens and Star Wars in the 90's but they flooded the market...
At least off centre dust jackets can be somewhat fixed.
Not much of a deal to my American friends, but I was just in Kings Comics in Sydney City and they have the Micheline/Romita Iron Man Direct Market cover on the shelf for $115aud. For Aussies that's...
My understanding is stacking heavy hardcovers can damage the spine.
Hmmm, so much for the AvX Companion collecting *all* the tie in's. Just noticed marvel has another AvX 5 issue series about to start. This is under the "What If" banner of stories.
Just saw it and loved it. I especially liked the way they teased out plot points. Some might say it made the film predictable, but I was much happier guessing things ahead of time than having them...
If fear of stolen digital codes means future omni's get boxed thus providing valuable shipping protection amazon seems incapable of adding then thank you digital.
Problem is these things are never inevitable.
I'm with you. Hardcovers invariably get damaged just by reading them e.g. the bottom of the spine bending in from where it sits on the reading surface and for some large hardcovers the spine itself...
Personally I think the Immateria edition is going to be a complete pain in the @ss to read and shelve. The Absolutes are sewn and have no gutter loss and to me make the most sense.
That was my experience with fishpond au. They also would advertise great prices but not honour them.
Oh that sucks. Got my TMNT Vol 4 from amazon today and it was packed the same way but luckily arrived unscathed. I also received a book from Subterranean Press today. It was very well packed and...
Ha ha. I love the fervent vigour with which some are trying to say the only people who dislike the movie are sad fanboi's who can't get over the Mandarin twist. They could never not like it because...
How could you possibly leave Frank Miller out?
The good news on Daredevil is the pictured cover is the black and red. Definitely grabbing this. I'll sell the glued one some time down the track (and obviously for less than I paid for it).
I didn't like it at all. 2 1/2 hours of Tony Stark getting his butt kicked with no pay-off what-so-ever. I honestly cannot understand this gushing paise. This is X-Men 3 all over again.
Good points, I'll keep it on the to read list. As for the movie, can't really discuss it without spoiling it nor is it the right place anyway, but I'm glad you liked it. I'm now pinning my hopes on...
I have to disagree completely. It was truly terrible. Just awful. I haven't been this disappointed in a film I was looking forward to for a long time.
I would like to know how far it deviated...
When it comes to omnibus titles wouldn't that be a false economy? I would think these cater to those who want a special presentation of the material. The buyers of the omnibus line want a certain...
My TMNT Ultimate Vol 4 shipped from amazon today so I'm guessing no recall and reprint.
In Australia booths at cons seem to raise prices rather than discount.
I agree, no one should not "get" Morrison's stories on the first read, but subsequent re-reads are always rewarding. I feel sorry for those who want to live in such a dumbed down world that every...
I'm pretty sure the extra's are the same as in the deluxe editions. Mines packed away so I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm 99% there.
Me either. I've added the new Superman/Batman series to my pull list based on his art with Greg Pak's scripts.
