Joe Johnston was a great choice for Cap. However, I REALLY like what the Russo brothers did with CA:TWS. Awesome that they're doing the third film, too. They'd better not let those guys go.
Nolan also made movies in-between his Batman films. The WB suits certainly weren't going to toss the reins to some other guy.
Iron Man 2 was rushed and that much was admitted.
I know Shane wasn't technically a first-timer, but he isn't exactly a directing prodigy. Certainly no Nolan, who got the Batman gig after Memento and Insomnia.
Thor 3 would be blown to Valhalla. A third film has already slipped back on the priority scale for the next Cap movie, which is already written. Work on Avengers 2 began much sooner than MoS 2, so it...
Never heard "dirty old man," I take it?
They let Shane Black direct Iron Man 3, so what's the worst that can happen?
Umm yeah no i don't even wanna know exactly what you mean by personal chew toy lol.[/QUOTE]
Let's do it doggy style so we can watch X-Files – Bloodhound Gang, "The Bad Touch"
I thought that CapAm III had not yet been selected for the May 2016 slot? IIRC, nothing had been set in stone apart from "Marvel movie."
It's a given.
And it was a solid movie up until the reveal. Though I liked Weller aka Admiral Robocop.
You know they're going to play it a lot safer with those flicks. Too safe. I'm expecting the...
"Fresh, new and exciting" was what I hoped for in STID. Hell, we NEED more Klingon hostility to make up for it.
Whatever happens, at least they got Khan out of the way, so they can't resort to that, unless...oh, no...they rehash The Search For Spock or something. Or whales. "What does...God...need...with a...
'Xactly. His is a real comeback story.
If you ever get a chance to talk to Bruce Jones at a con, ask him about his first meeting (circa the late '60s/early '70s) with Jim Warren for his portfolio review. Jim went off on a tangent about...
Not surprised. Not at all.
You mean flicks like Troy and 300? LOL.
Worse, actually.
I'd be perfectly fine with the FF only appearing in other characters' or teams' films.
I don't know how spellcheck corrects "Ratner" to "Farmer," but Brett's name is a familiar one by way of the Rush Hour trilogy. Nothing wrong with Wiki, but for movie stats, I prefer IMDb.
^^^ Somebody who "gets" it! Exactly what I've tried to convey but some people think Depp would make a great Strange. I'd like to see a serious Strange, not another quirkfest. We already have Stark's...
That's okay. Cap's had a good three-week run. I saw it again yesterday.
But you're talking about another property now. Raimi-Spidey's great except for the screw-up of a third movie, but again, that's the fault of the studio. They made him shoehorn Venom into the story....
His name is spelled Brett Ratner, not "Bret Farmer" (LOL), and X-Men: The Last Stand came out in 2006.
FWIW, Brett directed the film. He did not write it. Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn did.
