You don't copyright a name. No one seems to be actively using an "Ultraman" trademark on a comic, nor have they for some time, so it's basically a non-issue.

The only "Ultraman" mark registered...

I would start with Elasti-Girl, Negative Man, Robotman, Mento and Niles Caulder. Beast Boy, if available. And then I would comb the New 52 for any characters that may fit in with the "scarred/freak"...
