Oboy, you'd be hard pressed to find a cheesier thread title :)
Does the world end on Friday the 21st of December?
Not if Golden Gang has anything to say about it!
The gang is a group of...

ARTISTS, INKERS, COLORISTS, CONCEPT ARTISTS and PAINTERS!
Hi!
Later this year I'm going to publish two trade paperbacks featuring the Golden...
Hi,
First off, for learning and improving art, there are two sites I'd recommend.
First is conceptart.org who have an absolutely amazing number of resources, threads to read, tons of...
This is from Northern Stars first story chronologically. Written by the same guy who wrote Murder in the bunker, illustrated by me and five other guys, then colored for the aforementioned fanzine's...
Wow. Time sure flies. So I'll try to get this "show" on the road again. Assorted images in various stages of completion, and comments are always welcome.
Work in progess of a short story featuring...
Thanks again man.
Here's the first page of a new story I'm illustrating. It's about a former superhero who's life went to hell and now he's bitter and depressed. Until he hears that the person...
As one of those that asked for the SAC to continue the Comic Book Idol thing, I can only say what happened to me: I can't find the time any more. And one of the other guys who was also instrumental...
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Here's the color version of the cover above. It's my third time coloring a cover with the computer (using GIMP).

I can only speak for myself. I do freelance illustration on my spare time but have yet to actively pursue a professional career in comics.
That spare time is very very limited due to me being an...
Glad you like the designs.
That comic and others is what has kept me from participating in the Sequential Art Challenge which I was one of the early proponents of. I kind of feel bad about that...
Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it.
So it's been a while since I last updated this thread, been a bit busy with some RPG illustrations, video games and working on that...
You should also put the money you're willing to spend in relation to the time it will take/the time you want it finished by. A pro will be more expensive but faster, especially if the alternative is...
Yes, please don't do that to us again ;)
Ok, try to picture your stories as a comic book. For simplicty's sake, imagine a 6 panel grid per page. Then when you've written your manuscript in story form, like you posted above, try to "see" how...
deanlegion: I really like it, that felt like the god-damned Bat-man's sense of humor.
Jae: I'm sorry, but there's no possibility what so ever to fit all that into three pages, the speech baloons...
I don't have anything resembling a studio, the magic happens at two places: The kitchen table (pictured) for more serious work and the living room table for sketching.

Congratulations KWW.
Thanks to those that gave critiques.
I hope I can make the next round too.
Michael P: Thanks for taking the time to critique our pieces. You touch on some things that I'm going to change when I eventually ink these.
I hope when things get less hectic at home I'll have...
The sequential art challenge (stickied) is just such a contest. It's one where each contest is in two stages, first a script challenge, and then the winning script is the basis for the art challenge....
Ok, here's my pages. At least this turn won't be three pages of suckiness from me :)
Looking forward to see what you others come up with.

My thumbnails and first designs for the protagonists. Lots and lots of panels in this one. I didn't reflect over that at all when I read it the first time.

Real good showing from each participant. There were several that I wouldn't mind illustrating.
Unfortunately I got an illustration assignment but hopefully I'll have time for both.
Congrats to the very deserving winner. Next time I'll try and put up a real fight, and I hope more of the play at homers, and others show up.
Mattbib: Yeah, me to. As one of the proponents of the idea I think it should be given a chance to grow though.
So, with apologies to the script writer, whom I voted for, and to everyone with eyes....
