With all of the Angela talk, I figured it was a good time to go back and reread some old Spawn. Man, issue 8 is really, really entertaining.
Fantastic. I have the Byrne and Eisner book on the way, and am very interested in this release. I may not even get it for me, but for my nephew; I got him Bone a few years ago, and he's in...
When I first came back to comics in 2000 this was one of the very first things I heard people were complaining about!
One season of being on a tv show demonstrates staying power? O_o Is this show still even on? I'm not even arguing whether or not they do, but is a finite period of tiem really the best way to show...
nice time to talk about it, with this run just coming out in trade last month :)
Mr. Fantastic vs Namor + lots of Atlantis guards, Fantastic Four v.1 #27
No, the MOVIE version became more well known. I'm sure most people, if you show them a picture of Hitch's Fury, will say its Fury from Avengers, not Fury from the Ultimates. I know the Ultimates was...
I'm only reading it in trade, but I've enjoyed the first 13 issues of the book. Will certainly keep an eye on reviews of the new fella.
I'm not really sure what new material from Ditko's Spider-Man would they have that they wouldn't have already used.
I would not expect new bonuses. Most of the participants wouldn't have much to add, with as often as this material has already been reprinted.
BOOM! was putting out an Incredibles ongoing before Disney bought Marvel if you want to read comics tales.
DD I'll probably get, but the other stuff is up in the air. Masterworks are so much better for the F4, ASM, and X-Men, if you actually want to read them since they go far beyond the omnibus line.
It would also be in Essential Avengers 3 and Greatest Battles of the Avengers (54-55).
Opposite Forces was a pretty good story, and the art was beautiful. I picked it up when the original came out from Funny Pages Press. Damn, that and the Alias re-release bring back the early 2000's...
I might have to look into getting the Golden Age Omnibus. In honour of meeting Timely artist Allen Bellman in two weeks at Megacon I've been buying up GA Masterworks (he wrote/drew in All-Winners...
If he wants spin-offs, doesn't that lead to a whole lot more of minis and things like The Dreaming?
Looking forward to this, hope its the start of something great.
Fantastic Four v.3 #60, the nine cent issue. First one of Mark Waid's run. Great scene of Reed holding Val all alone at night, and over the course of his run on the title he really 'got' Reed.
DoJ paperback is coming in April, if you weren't aware.
I'll wait for issue reviews to decide
I think its the only book printed this size; they've had a lot of smaller digest sized books, but this is the only thing like this I've seen from this company.
And the new edition includes...
I just hope he writes a nice story.
Its probably time. Much like Bendis with the Avengers, fresh voices are needed
I support gay marriage, but I support Orson Scott Card writing comics if he wants. Considering how his Ultimate Iron Man mini series in 2005 sold incredibly well (debuting at #3 with 138,000 copies,...
