If you've seen The Expendables, you've seen The Expendables 2.
That's not a complaint.
Okay, that just might be even more fabulous than the ice cream truck.
I am optimistic.
In case anyone's curious, here are the previous titles.
I
II: The Next Generation
III: The Search for Plawsky
IV: VoyaJer
V: NemeSinx
VI: Another Star Trek Reference
VII: The Miles Frontier
LOL, love the Into RockyBankness.
But I've gotta vote for Wrath of wyoKhan. That fits perfectly.

These are flipping brilliant. I watched these as kids and rediscovered them on Netflix. The animation is beautiful, and the action is intense. The retro-sci-fi villains are downright fantastic.
Truth.

Did anyone here take advantage of yesterday's Marvel Monday sale? I picked up the first storyline of Gillen's Journey Into Mystery, which I've been meaning to read for some time now.

Yeah, Batman: Gotham Knight. It's set in the Nolanverse between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, if that does anything for you.
Most of the DC films are worth watching.
Wikipedia has a list. (link)
Batman: Under the Red Hood is my personal favorite, and Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is another great one.

The definition is far from absolute. (link)
Real-world logic says he's dead.
TV logic says he may be dead.
Comic-book logic says "HAHAHAHAHA...dead...HEHEHE...oh, that's rich..."

Like I said, it wasn't a complaint. It works.
That said, the first season has already used up most of the major plot points from Nolan's trilogy, so next season will have to be somewhat...
The definition of "cult film" is debatable. I don't think critical acceptance prohibits a film from becoming a cult hit.
For example, Anchorman received generally favorable reviews, and is...
Rocky don't wanna be at work today.

Dredd and Scott Pilgrim are the obvious choices, and I feel compelled to echo them.
In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths seem like shoo-ins to me.
Where I come from, O Brother, Where Art Thou? is a...
Every episode cracks me up. Looking forward to this.
True, but the writers of the series are going out of their way to mimic the look, feel, and general story arc of the Nolan films. They share a lot of the same character beats and plot points.
It's more than just general parallels.
- Spoiled rich white kid lives in city full of corruption.
- Kid sees parent(s) die, feels responsible, is exiled far from home for many years (including...
I'd take Barrowman playing more anything, but he's especially good as a villain.
Oh, definitely. Since the very first episode, this show has been a retelling of Nolan's Batman trilogy.
And that's not a complaint.
I just came here to say that ending gave me chills. Chills.
