I don't think his Brainiac was meant to be a permanent look to begin with, since like Geoff Johns, he pretty much loves the idea that Brainiac can have different looks/bodies/drones...etc, which fits...
No it wasn't.

That's the point really, despite not being the first, it was the one that took the superhero genre to universal acceptance among a mainstream audience, as someone from Egypt, I can safely say not a...
Nice post, I agree
Among all the ideas, I love Maggin being editor the most (then again its mostly biased since his run on the character is my personal favorite), however I don't think I'm too crazy of Moore being...
I guess we're going to have agree to disagree
That's why I think Alan Moore's Whatever Happen to the Man of Tomorrow? doesn't succeed as a "final" Superman story for me and one of the reasons why I find it overrated.
Strongly...
So basically the "ungrateful" moment is from a non-Superman comic.
I know what you mean I let my feelings about the character get the better of me when I was in the UK for the last 3 years, I was at a video game store in West Drayton, i believe it was called Games...
Meh, I'll take Morrison's Superman stories over Moore's any day. And I'll take the characterization of his Superman over Byrne's any day.
I voted for Maggin, didn't think he would make the top 10...
The game having George Newbern reprising his role as Superman is an added plus
I really liked that feature, it was among my favorite series to read in the Arabic translated Superman comics.
I like to see you tell Michael Bailey that he's not a Superman fan and the word Marvelization needs to die for it has become pointless.
I personally preferred All Star Superman to be on top but I'm just happy that Elliot S! Maggin's first issue made it to the top 25 list
Curt Swan, no contest whatsoever
Also good news for Superman fans

Superman saves the day
I voted for Elliot S! Maggin, the Bronze Age Superman in general combined part of the Silver Age elements with some grounded elements quite well and Maggin was the best at that era. While Lex Luthor...
I don't know, if Prankster got a hold of Kryptonite and used it for some of his "pranks", that would give Superman a hard time.
Actually Golden Age Prankster wasn't a mere nuisance or a joke, he was sadistic and his pranks would involve causing harm or killing people in fact I dare say that Dan Jurgens' terrible attempt at...
Wish DC would release one for Curt Swan or Elliot S! Maggin.
Long ago, as a kid I was a Sups/Wondy fan but as I grew older I think Lois especially when she's written well is the one and Batman/Wonder Woman makes more sense to me now than Superman/Wonder Woman.
1. All Star Superman
2. Superman Chronicles
3. Superman the Decade Series, 40s through the 80s
4. Superman Vs Lex Luthor TPB
5. Up, Up And Away
Well, Wolverine seems to have better success as a father figure than many father figures in comics, so that's something.

Ditto, it seems it was that one question many messed up
