True. It seems like Marvel is setting him up to possibly join the Avengers. I think Marvel has wanted him away from the X-Men for a while now but hasn't really known the best way to disassociate him...

Pointing out that a Gambit solo sold well in the 90s is like pointing out that Spawn, Wildcats, and Youngblood sold well in the 90s.
Why? So he can drop it after 4 or 5 issues like he did Savage Wolverine?
Why do you say that? Also, Joelle would have been fine if they would have only used her for only the first four or five issues and then moved on to the next chick. Someone in another thread nailed it...
Did anyone else besides me vomit when they read Sinestro's final line?
Well, that's because most of the stuff before Johns' run SUCKED!!! LOL!
Absolutely!!! I don't like Boomerang's redesign, though. They could have at least kept the purple and regular blue color scheme.
Really?!? Iceman---especially the way he looked back then---has to be one of the easiest superheroes ever to draw. Just draw a bald muscle man with underwear and an "X" belt buckle. I think that was...
I hate how all of Chris Bachalo's adult men look like toddlers and all of his adult women look like pre-pubescent 11 year olds.
Dazzler has been wallpaper in the 616 for so long that I didn't think many people still cared about her.
His kinetic energy powers are always displayed. What annoys me is that for years writers seem to have forgotten about his super agility power and that he's supposed to be one of the quickest, most...
Dammit!!! I knew it wouldn't last long, even though it's been an awesome series.
I was a huge fan of the Kyle Rayner era also and like Kyle, Guy, and John better than Hal too, but Geoff is such an amazing writer that I still enjoyed his GL run better than anyone else's ever. You...
What about Havok and Polaris? They're semi-original X-Men who Claremont continued to use and develop long after Byrne was gone. It was obvious that they were two characters who Claremont highly...
So was Angel, as Beast was in Avengers, but that didn't stop Claremont from using them whenever he wanted and further developing them. He just didn't want anything to do with Iceman, and it showed.
This is how I feel. The real test will be what he does with this new run now that the status quo has finally settled and he will be given plenty of freedom and time to craft his own stories.
I know what you mean. At least he actually used Cyclops, even if he didn't really develop him much beyond just being the stereotypical stoic, boyscouttish, fearless leader type, same as he had been...
I agree. I actually cared about British Betsy for the reasons you listed above. But aside from how and scantily clad and hot to look at Asian Betsy was for years, I didn't really give a damn about...
As long as Claremont wrote Uncanny, if a character he rarely if ever used was not in the book, then how were they fan favorites? Which characters are you referring to?
I guess super1man told all of you insecure, irate Wonder Woman fans...LOL!!!
This arc has been some of the best comics I've ever read, but the REAL test is if this book can maintain its high quality after this one spectacular arc is over...
SHIELD was referenced, and the Avengers were mentioned several times. And did you see the post credits scene after the movie?
Well said. I came here to say the exact same thing.
Rogue, Jubes, Kitty, and ESPECIALLY Rachel REALLY need new costumes...
I didn't know what this book was reprinted from, but I do know that Adam Kubert REALLY phoned it in on the art. :frown:
