Don't be so close-minded. Of course it could sell- you just need a few small changes. Give her an animal theme, weapons/gadgets and exceedingly flexible/rigid morals. Maybe also make her dead parents...

It shouldn't be that hard. Just give the characters depth.

YA has more longevity than Runaways because it's easier too write for. It's not a cash cow, but it has long-term monwy making potential. Same for Academy but the characters weren't as popular.
