There's a Geoff Johns site with a forum but It felt limited in it's subject matter. John Byrne has a site also but it's an exclusive club.

I used to be an Avengers completist but nowadays , Marvel just slaps "AVENGERS" on any book to sell it. Secret Avengers and Dark Avengers springs to mind.

There are so many .50 boxes, it's a bonanza.

"Bankable" . Gambit is practically invisible these days...

In the various cons I've attended over the years, I've seen GL's from that era from .50 to 1 buck. Good luck. I was thinking about going to the Philly Wizard show in June but the 45 dollar entrance...

Some dealers will discount books , but Green lanterns from that era shouldn't be too pricey. You can always haggle too. I find that the last day of a con , the dealers want to carry less boxes home...

It occurred to me that a comic fan starts out reading comics in a random manner. Before the era of collected issues via TPB, one would go to the LCS and pick up different single issues of that weeks...

I read Jack Kirby's Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers 1-3 last night. It was kind of sad to see how far his talent had slipped.

I read less than half of the series and it's ok. I'm just a big Warlock fan. The Artwork by Angel Medina chased me away from some of the issues.

It's a mixed blessing. I got it and # 30 on ebay for .50 . But if you look closely you can see a stain on the right side of the cover. It's right under Drax. But I generally just want good copies, so...

Gene Colan knocked it out of the park in the original series. He left Marvel and rejuvenated his artwork. Sometimes people have to change their scenery to get great again. He was born to draw Batman.
