That's surprising to me. It seemed like it wasn't very well liked and kind of a mess.

Haha. Sorry to scare you. I guess I shouldn't mention then that my favorite story ever is Avengers the Crossing.
I find Aaron's writing to be entertaining and then surprisingly heartfelt. His Spider-man Wolverine mini was awesome.
There are a number of us, including myself that have said on this forum how much we liked it. The critics just tend to be louder.
I've liked pretty much everything Aaron has done. I'm hoping we...
I think he is confusing you with someone else (maybe?) who was asking for recommendations earlier about X-static and got on some people's nerves. This is the perfect place to ask recommendations and...
The only one I can think of for Cap is Sentinel of Liberty and The New Deal.
Kind of wondering the same thing. I had it on preorder but cancelled it. I haven't read anything that makes it sound all that great outside of being a comic about a universe a fan might love.
AWESOME!!! Love this book
Thanks for the post.
I'm going to end up doing some re-reading this summer.
Civil War - I read it every summer, but this is the first time I'll be reading it with the X-Men, FF and Spider-man OHCs
X-Men - Supernova...
Not quite. It has cardboard buffers in the box that keep the book from touching the top or bottom but still keep it secure. The front and back, however, don't have those buffers so they can still...
Mine was damaged in the box and it looks like it arrived that way to IST because there is no way it could have received that damage in their packaging. The outside AvX box had a slight scuff but it...
Pretty sure it's not. I asked this earlier and people seemed to be sure it was standard trim.
Wait, what?!? You didn't like AvX? This is the first I've heard of this:tongue:
Problem is, that's what everyone (especially on forums) says about events and I've only found one event that was bad enough to consider a waste of money. They are all, at very least entertaining. ...
Going to find out!
I had forgotten about those. I'll be picking up those books as well.
Pretty excite for August. Didn't realize everything that was coming out that month. Age of Ultron, Hawkeye and Endless Wartime. The only thing that I don't like is that Age of Ultron is going to...
Seemed like for awhile there DC was announcing some great stuff but I don't really see anything I'm looking forward to for the rest of the year. I'm interested in Top 10 and GA Superman, don't know...
X-Men and Dr Strange. I've been wanting both for a while now. At least with a dust jacket you can fix it or take it off.
I ordered two season one books from the bargain bin on Amazon. I used to think that not having dust jackets would fix Marvel's terrible problem with covers being off center.
Nope

Some people will bash it and talk about it like it's terrible. Don't believe them, it's much worse then that.
Looks like others have explained it better then me.
But you should know that the omnibus as its stands is almost exactly as the story was released at the time it originally came out so you're...
Got that email this morning and felt sadness. It has to be a mistake, right? Right?!?
If it's the only way to get Cap by Gruenwald I just might do it.
Depends what era's you like to read.
I'm not positive if it's OOP yet, it might be, but Thor by Walter Simonson, a lot of people would also say Fantastic Four by John Byrne and it doesn't hurt...
