Cue either 1) a Ted Nugent joke; or 2) a Kids in the Hall reference.

That's pretty much the way I feel as well.
QFT. If anything, threads like this, and the Newsarama reviews mentioned earlier, make me realize just how different tastes can run.
I'm glad that some people are enjoying their Babsgirl and...
Wow. I can't disagree more.
Western dialogue notwithstanding, there was no plot or thematic elements common between Deadwood and Loveless... and 100 Bullets, outside of the 'elevator pitch'...
I wonder if this revelation is news to Azz or not? ;)
I'm really not a fan of Simone's writing and think she's highly overrated by both the industry news media and her fan base.
Wow. What a complete misreading of "100 Bullets." Of course, I doubt you actually read "100 Bullets."
it was probably one of the most *responsible* crime comics that showed the consequences of...
As a long-time fan of Decoder Ring Theatre, I LOVED "The Mask of the Red Panda."
Here's hoping Gregg Taylor get's lots of increased traffic for his audio dramas, novels, etc. out of all this.
I liked it! Interesting neo-noir present and in one issue we already have a lot of background, characters, etc.
Looking forward to issue #2.
I'm really digging this title. The first issue intrigued me, and this 2nd one has hooked me.
Purchasing mine today. I'm digging Dynamite's pulp-universe much more than either of the Big 2 right now.
There already is a new "Oracle" in the New 52... it was one of the sub-plots of "H'el on Earth" (even with a cover saying something like "Introducing the new Oracle" or whatever the exact wording).
...
Exactly. I was only marginally caring about what happened in JL because I wanted to see how he handled this... and even then I'm reading a friend's copy of the book each month.
Now, I really...
That's where I'm at. I gave up the big two after Identity Crisis and Civil War. Came back for the New 52 and Marvel Now.... and now I'm down to just Azz's "Wonder Woman" at DC and "Nova" and...
Azz's Wonder Woman and Morrison's Action Comics defining Superman's early years are the best things about the New 52 for me.
Still liking Azz's run enough to buy the digital monthlies and the hardcover trades (which are really nicely done) when they come out.
Exactly! And that one stuck.
These are great!
There are at least 2 interviews that explained that was Chiang, not Azz, who designed him that way.
It was a joke meant to be a light-hearted stab at his co-creator... not a masturbatory or...
Actually, both he and Apollo, REEEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYY early on (way before Homer and fairly close to when the proto-Greek tribes still had a lot in common with their Indo-European cousin cultures) they...
Exactly, and that's kinda my point: People who don't like the idea don't want it to become any more 'real' than it already is (which is fully understandable if you don't like the idea of the...
I've read Rucka (and it wasn't so much to my tastes - although Ferdinand was pretty damn cool) and I'd say that my take would be:
"I really like the WAY Azz is using the Olympians. It FEELS...
Maybe I should've put a  after my comment then.
It's no more unlikely than any number of changes that have been done over the decades *if* the publisher and creators fully commit to a change in course of narrative. Batman fans from the 70s were...
I'd just love for DC to do something as ballsy as what Marvel did with Cyclops and Emma Frost. People then thought that it was just a gimmick and that Jean Grey would soon return from the grave...
