Ah. The scene actually makes sense with this information. Not sure how you're expected to guess what's going on at that point in the issue though. Pretty poor writing.

During the 90s, we were always about 2 years behind in the UK.
I'd dive straight into the More Than Meets the Eye ongoing. He also co-wrote the Last Stand of the Wreckers mini-series, which precedes his ongoing and generally gets good reviews, but lacks some of...
Didn't even give the tiger thing a second thought. They've got run of the world, there'd be plenty of domesticated animals knocking about in zoos. The Negan thing seems to be coming to a head much...
Yeah, I did this last year. £6 for a bunch of articles I'm not interested in, and a reprint floppy that I've already read. Can't really justify that price for the small amount of new story content...
Personally, I'd go for the Case Files. Some of the greatest JD stories are the random done in ones which may not be collected elsewhere. Mind you, the 70s-early 80s were my favourite era, so I'm...
You're doing fine, I'm enjoying these. The suggestion above to include covers is a good one though.
Well, along with the X-Men cartoon, this was my entryway into comics, so I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Guess I'm the one in the minority thinking he's a Spidey villain
Never been a huge Dr Strange fan, but recently bought the first Masterworks volume and couldn't put it down. I suspect it's more to do with the Lee/Ditko combo than the character, but I loved it all...
It surprises me that people think of him as anything but. I assume you mean Daredevil? Thinking about it, I can see why some people would think that, but it'd never occurred to me before.
Great idea for a thread, will be watching closely :)
Strangely, the older I get, the more I seem to seek out and enjoy the old 'silly' silver age stories. Must pick up a copy of the showcase some...
I'm really not a fan of Fraction, at all, and I love it. Even if I didn't enjoy the writing, Aja's art alone makes it worth picking up.
Finally bit the bullet and ordered the first Absolute Sandman. Been meaning to upgrade my paperbacks for ages, but the omnibus complicated things, couldn't decide which format to go for. Hope I made...
Cool, hope you enjoy them
Let us know what you think on the Transformers thread.
Seem to remember most of them being pretty ordinary. They tie into/advanced the ongoing story line, so you might be a bit confused if you just dive in. If you're not reading the current ongoings...
Probably one of my Auntie's old Beano or Dandy annuals. My first purchase, that I consider the start of my comic collecting was:

Been hooked ever since
a) It hasn't been confirmed at all (although it'll almost certainly happen IMO).
b) Why would them losing the licence affect you enjoying their comics
Awesome. Been dying to read this for ages, but the individual volumes were always too hard to track down. I'm now one happy camper
Really enjoying Tranformers MtMtE & RiD, as well as TMNT. Keep meaning to get the Locke & Key trades since I've heard good things.
Yes, I thought the same, and the text piece at the end about the missing team kind of cemented it for me. Enjoying this series, my last remaining Boom! book. Hopefully it won't go the way of the...

I'd always assumed that was all he was brought in to do. Seed some ideas for other writers to run with. It certainly read very much like something he was doing for the money, rather than something he...
If you want to get into Dredd then 2000AD is the way to go. I understand it's hard to get in the US, but a digital subscription comes highly recommended.
Absolutely. RiD is just as good (well, maybe not quite as good, but near enough). Love how dense the books feel too, always come away feeling satisfied.
