Gerry Conway is my third favorite Spider-Writer behind Stan Lee and Len Wein.
Hindsight being what it is I wish Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21, 1987 would have been my last issue of Spider-Man. The marriage of Peter and Mary Jane just never worked for me. If I would have quit...
All very good artist.
I would say from X-Men #94-#175 Claremont could do wrong. Of course Cockrum, Byrne and Smith had something to do with that. After that the book was entertaining but never reached the heights of...
My favorite book is Tarzan of the Apes.
My second favorite is The Return of Tarzan.
On the order list:
ESSENTIAL THOR VOL. 7 TPB
No he doesn't.

I miss them. But then I miss the Avengers and X-Men too.
Astro City 4
September seems like a good month to drop the few DC books I had been reading.
And I am sure if I try I can think of a few more.
Wow! Someone is a big Morrison worshiper. Sorry not all of us drink the cool-aid and believe that Morrison is the end all when it comes to writing super-hero comics. I can't stand his writing so I...
so???????????????????
Nope. They don't understand them either. Now Stan Lee, Len Wein, Roger Stern and many others do.
I think he doesn't understand superheroes at all.
Most of the writers I like are no longer working in the biz or doing very little.
I do check these artist out unless they team with writers I don't like:
George Perez
Ivan Reis
Mark Bagley
John...
I was only getting Fantastic Four for the Bagley artwork. The writing wasn't doing much for me. After this lousy issue Bagley can't even keep me buying this book. I've waited years for Marvel to...
For me:
Bendis
Morrison
Straczynski
PAD
Millar
Slott
Waid
I would do it kind of the way John Byrne did with FF 232. Start a new storyline. Just don't mention all of the crap that doesn't work or that should just be ignored. Go back to the basics. Also...
I guess for some it is a feast. For others (like me) it's a famine.
The early run by Englehart was pretty bad. His characterization was way off. Milgrom's art didn't work for me. If it wasn't for Joe Sinnott's wonderful inks the book would have been a total wreck.
Stan Lee with Jack Kirby, John Romita, and John Buscema.
Len Wien with George Perez. John Byrne.
Nothing else comes close.
Anything drawn by Sal Buscema. Issuse 194-309 more or less.
Great art and some very good writing by Len Wein, Roger Stern and Bill Mantlo.
For me it was from around 1978 until Crisis on Infinite Earths so 1985.
There were so many great books before Crisis. Then most of the books I was liking seemed to loose steam.
Two GOOD things...

Issue #199 was my first issue. And is still my favorite.
