While I am enjoying BOP volume three more than volume three ("Brightest Day"), it's just not as good as the first ongoing series. While I wouldn't quite call canceling the current series a mercy...
I liked Starling as a hero much better than as a villain. Ho-hum.
Sales for this title are not good. Hovering around 21,000. Is that cancelation level?
Has Firestar appeared since the "I Am An Avenger" story and her guest spot in "Avengers Academy"?
Are you sure about that? I just don't see Jim shooting bullets at Barbara (who was parayzed by a bullet), even if he does think she just pushed her serial-killer brother off a bridge.
The Batgirl series has definitely picked up steam over the past few months. I feel like Simone has finished laying the groundwork for the series and is now giving us more satisfying stories.
Meh. Carrie's not a character I even think about much. And I am not crazy about her being the third Bat-gal running around with red hair right now. It's like having red hair has become a prerequisite.
Loved this issue!
Batman Inc. used to take place in the pre-New 52 universe. That's why Stephanie Brown was in the series. When DC switched to the New 52 universe, they tweaked Batman Inc. to line up with the new...
I am glad DC is finally leveraging Barbara-Gordon-as-Batgirl as a solo property. It certainly seems to be paying off for them!
This is a good hardcover edition. much better than the first volume. However, I was bothered by a few things. For one thing, I was disappointed that did not correct the major coloring error...
Isn't Batman, Inc. set in the previous universe? If so, what happens to that Damian won't be what happens to the New 52 Damian.
Damian did say his face was numb. I took that to mean all the Bat Family had their faces numbed by Joker as part of the (totally unnecessary) gag. I bet realistic-looking fake faces are expensive or...
This title started out so strong, but the current storyline has been going on far too long. It's almost as if the creators have no other ideas so they are stalling, buying time till they get new...
That's totally your opinion there, buddy, and you are very much entitled to it - but please refrain from behaving like your opinion is an imperical fact.
I found this issue to be pretty bad. Terribly stodgy writing! Barbara Sr.'s personality was utterly unrecognizable. And the art was all over the place: good one moment, terrible the next. Looking...
How it played out, the whole gag just fell REALLY flat for me. It made those "Ooo, what's under the dishes?" cliffnagers from the #16s really lame. The story suffers. Fake faces = TERRIBLE!
When the faces on ice turned out to be just a joke, my eyes rolled so far into the back of my head. This issue was a terrible ending to Death of the Family. What a big pile of suck that story turned...
This was the first issue of Batgirl I didn't like at all. I wanted to like it, but between the heavy-handed narration and hit-and-miss art, I couldn't. If Batgirl were like this all the time, I'd...
I recommend just ignore the solicitation and look to the actual comic for the story. Obviously this was not Batgirl's first kiss. It's like how Batgirl #16's solicitation said the entire Gordon...
To each his own, I suppose, but I found the Batgirl romance story lacking. The writing itself didn't stray from how Simone pens Batgirl (I had to look at the credits to make sure Simone didn't write...
Are you reading Batgirl? The series has already covered several months since Batgirl's return. She is now over her PTSD and is now getting hard-assed and vengeful.
Very cool that finally Batgirl/Barbara gets to be part of the JL! I am happy she and Dick will be in the book, but I wonder whether Batgirl's presence means BoP is getting canceled.
I liked this issue, but WTH? I'm supposed to buy Batman #17 for the conclusion of the Batgirl story? Very uncool of DC.
I liked Babara in "Swamp Thing". It needed to be one of Batman's allies, so her inclusion makes sense to me. By the way, she is still in the story, so we will probably get to see her go all...
