1 - Silver Surfer isn't the most powerful.
2 - How hungry?
3 - Sure, there are that have individuals that can defeat Galactus (Marvel Earth has this, for example). So do you mean "Happens to have one guy who can beat him" or "Actually has a species that can through innate power/technology beat him"?

1. Thats hard to despute when a new herald is retconned every ten years.
2. Not starving but hungry enough to be relevant.
3. Very few of these individuals can defeat Galactus without destroying the planet. Earth must remain intact.

It doesn't really have anything with retcons. It's just that the Destroyer Armor was used as an Herald at one point.

Okay we'll just use the SS.

Pre-Retcon Owen Reece or Adult Franklin Richards could do so just fine, actually.
Mad Jim Jaspers though.... yeah, you'd be right. Earth would be screwed.

Those were the guys who came to mind for me.
i think DBZ earth has a way of not dieing, but not legitimately beating galactus
Franklin Richards maks Galactus his herald again

Or Krona makes him his toilet again.

How?
.....
How?
.....
I'm going to guess gather dragonballs, have someone take them off planet, let Galactus eat it and wish it all away after he is gone.
Maybe the TTGLverse Earth. If they have enough time to build up their Spiral Power.
How?

i figure if goku can charge up a spirit bomb, galactus can eat that instead of the earth XD

The OP doesn't say Galactus is necessarily going to EAT the planet. Just that he's hungry and needs to be defeated.
It's implied, but still....
So that tactic isn't defeating him. It's feeding him. If he can even eat spirit bombs.
